Much more than a gay club this Ste-Catherine Street complex houses a pub, a masculine "country" saloon with entertainment, 3 discothèques and offers one of the nicest roof top terraces in town. It includes, among other things, a Jacuzzi, a swimming pool and a great view.

Review Summary

Complexe Sky is described as a venue with a storied past including three floors, multiple ambiances, a rooftop terrace, and lively DJ nights and drag performances, but current reviews feel more muted with limited hours and many days closed, often leaving only one room in operation and the rest quiet. The energy once tied to Pride weekends and a bustling club scene is said to be gone, with rooms not packed even after midnight and the dance floor occasionally empty, though some experiences highlight good service, friendly staff and affordable drinks. Sound quality is variable and crowds can be sparse, and a cover charge is noted in some accounts. The rooftop patio has been closed since the pandemic, and while the space still holds potential due to its size and location, reimagined programming, a welcoming atmosphere and inclusivity are seen as essential to reclaim the vibrancy. Despite concerns, there are positive notes about music variety and the overall mood, suggesting a path to renewal if the concept re-centers energy and social interaction.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Complexe Sky. The place felt completely unorganized from the moment I walked in. The music was inconsistent, the sound levels were all over the place, & the vibe just wasn't enjoyable. The crowd was extremely chaotic, & security did very little to control situations that clearly made guests uncomfortable. The drinks were overpriced for the quality, & the staff didn't seem interested or welcoming at all. The entire place felt worn-out & not well maintained. For a venue that's supposed to be popular, the experience was far below expectations. I definitely wouldn't go back or recommend it.

Sky has seen better days on the day I went (January 19 2025) there was only 6 other people at 1am. Only one of the 3 rooms were open, & DJ music choice was lame. I can't blame COVID as a year ago the place was packed. How can a place with no cover only a 4$ coat check & 5$ drinks be empty on a Saturday night..
I feel the youth of today have left the club scene.

5 years later, it's still as fun & pleasant as I remembered. Music, the vibes were all fun & amazing. 8 dollar cover (includes coat check) I appreciate that the drinks stayed cheap (3-6$)

This place is a Village institution, but they need to pull it together. I was surprised how quiet the patio was last Friday night, but after the service we had I guess that makes sense. Our server mocked my friend's order ("Basic!") & then when I asked what beers they have on tap, he told me he didn't know. I asked if he could find out & he said no. It turns out that he just didn't know what "on tap" meant so when I explained that he just asked what I wanted. I asked what Quebecois beers they had & he told me he doesn't know where things are from & would order me a Hoegaarden. I eventually managed to get a menu & they had a few selections from Archibald, which is a fantastic & storied Quebec brewery. The next day we wanted to give the place another chance. We took a table on the patio but I went in to order from the bar directly. The bartender here was friendly & attentive. We took our time finishing our drinks on the patio, & not a single staff member approached us at any point. I have some great memories of Sky bar, but I guess those days are gone. Such a shame.

The host(esse) with the white platform high heels, chique Cruella Deville-esque split blanche & noire vest was en pointe, had to come in just for the execution of that outfit (merci, inspiré), great service, friendly, had the drinks & food we were looking for. It was a hot day, je recommande la sangria blanche.
