About

Complexe Sky serves as a prominent destination for those seeking robust, flavor-forward pub classics that anchor the local casual dining scene. The menu features a heavy emphasis on hearty burgers constructed with thick, seared patties and an array of savory toppings that demand attention. Patrons frequently turn to the signature poutine, a dish defined by a base of crisp golden fries smothered in rich, traditional gravy and fresh, squeaky cheese curds. This establishment operates with a focus on high-energy, accessible comfort foods designed for communal enjoyment. Every plate highlights straightforward ingredients prepared with precision to satisfy hunger without unnecessary pretension. The overall atmosphere remains grounded in a practical approach to modern tavern fare where texture and substance define the culinary standard for every guest who walks through the doors.

Review Summary

Complexe Sky is frequently described as a former staple of the local nightlife that has struggled to maintain its vibrant atmosphere and consistent appeal. While some visitors appreciate the staff and the facility's overall potential, many report that the venue often feels empty, with disappointing energy levels, limited operating hours, and a decline in the inclusive environment it once offered. Concerns regarding the restricted use of the space, including the closure of the rooftop patio, contribute to the perception that it no longer serves as a premier destination for dancing and socializing compared to its past reputation.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Complexe Sky. The place felt completely unorganized from the moment I walked in. The music was inconsistent, the sound levels were all over the place, & the vibe just wasn't enjoyable. The crowd was extremely chaotic, & security did very little to control situations that clearly made guests uncomfortable. The drinks were overpriced for the quality, & the staff didn't seem interested or welcoming at all. The entire place felt worn-out & not well maintained. For a venue that's supposed to be popular, the experience was far below expectations. I definitely wouldn't go back or recommend it.

Sky has seen better days on the day I went (January 19 2025) there was only 6 other people at 1am. Only one of the 3 rooms were open, & DJ music choice was lame. I can't blame COVID as a year ago the place was packed. How can a place with no cover only a 4$ coat check & 5$ drinks be empty on a Saturday night..
I feel the youth of today have left the club scene.

5 years later, it's still as fun & pleasant as I remembered. Music, the vibes were all fun & amazing. 8 dollar cover (includes coat check) I appreciate that the drinks stayed cheap (3-6$)

This place is a Village institution, but they need to pull it together. I was surprised how quiet the patio was last Friday night, but after the service we had I guess that makes sense. Our server mocked my friend's order ("Basic!") & then when I asked what beers they have on tap, he told me he didn't know. I asked if he could find out & he said no. It turns out that he just didn't know what "on tap" meant so when I explained that he just asked what I wanted. I asked what Quebecois beers they had & he told me he doesn't know where things are from & would order me a Hoegaarden. I eventually managed to get a menu & they had a few selections from Archibald, which is a fantastic & storied Quebec brewery. The next day we wanted to give the place another chance. We took a table on the patio but I went in to order from the bar directly. The bartender here was friendly & attentive. We took our time finishing our drinks on the patio, & not a single staff member approached us at any point. I have some great memories of Sky bar, but I guess those days are gone. Such a shame.

The host(esse) with the white platform high heels, chique Cruella Deville-esque split blanche & noire vest was en pointe, had to come in just for the execution of that outfit (merci, inspiré), great service, friendly, had the drinks & food we were looking for. It was a hot day, je recommande la sangria blanche.
