Avis pour Commodore Café

Barista was nice, coffee was good, I did get checked on by a server once or twice which affected a bit the atmosphere.
The place looks beautiful but I ordered a cappuccino that cost 7 cad & I got a cup of overheated milk with bad coffee & improper foam…
The food is overloaded & not presented or executed well. E.g. the Avo toast would be significantly better if the avocado was smashed & spread & the eggs on top.
The coffee is mediocre at best (I had one from the main kitchen & one from the Barista cafe up front).
Comparing the same dishes/breakfast to the LXR in Paris, W Barcelona or other Marriott properties I recently stayed at, it is not at the same level & for sure not up to the standards of the HONEYROSE hotel (which is rather nice!) - really glad that we did not take breakfast for all nights as part of my bonvoy benefits.
We stayed at honeyrose & came to commodore cafe for breakfast. The service unfortunately was absolutely trash. It took over 40 minutes to just get our food even though it wasn't busy. For reference, we went there at 12:30 pm. No water offered by the server. No black pepper. We ordered 3 omelette & coffee & the total was $130 which is extremely overpriced. Plus, no bread given with the omelette. Once we saw that, we ordered bread but didn't get our bread until 10 minutes so we had to cancel our order for bread. We have never been to a breakfast place that doesn't provide bread with omelette.
Never again.
I had a croissant & an iced latte. The croissant was grocery store quality. The coffee too. From such a beautiful hotel I would expect thirdwave coffee & croissants from a reputed local bakery especially for the price.
Quiet little cafe for a quick coffee or pastry. Connected to the hotel so very clean & atmospheric. The cafe area is quite small, but the restaurant looked large. Coffee was lovely, & service was fast. Would come by again for a quick coffee.
Coffee was delicious, my croissant was great too. Would recommend to sit down to enjoy a coffee because the to go container coffee lids are messy.
I've come to quite like the little café part of the café... Which closes at 2 pm. Nice coffees & there's a small selection of fresh viennoiserie. A nice alternative to the Tim's!
Nice place inside of the Honeyrose hotel. Everything is nicely decorated & great location, just 2 steps from Place des arts station. Unfortunately the foods & drinks here are just average. I wanted to order the matcha latte, there was no matcha left, ok then I switched to an ice tea, there was no ice tea either... Their menu in the cafe side is very limited but somehow they couldn't keep track of their inventory? In the end I got an overpriced hot chocolate, it tasted nothing special. My friend didn't find her coffee to be great either. The cashiers were friendly though.
The best coffee & place for the price, portion, & location! I got an iced coffee with soy milk & espresso shot for $4.96 total with tip!
For this type of coffee its probably $7-$10 elsewhere
Also, the cafe is only open until only 10:30am just to keep in mind
Good coffee. I tried to pick one up this morning at 0730 but the door was locked.
Please correct your hours if you don't open at 0630 as advertised.
I went for a coffee... good service .... tasty coffee.
