Review Summary

Reviews describe Coeur de Provence as a tiny, charming European style bistro run by a friendly French couple, with a warm atmosphere, a sunny veranda usable in winter, and a small shop that sells specialty coffees and European groceries. The menu features simple Provençal inspired bistro fare made from fresh ingredients, including sandwiches, quiches, burgers, soups, salads, and homemade jams and caramel; desserts like muffins and croissants appear, and the coffee is highlighted as excellent. Guests praise attentive, fast and courteous service, and many comment on generous portions, good value for quality, and a homey feel with bright, well presented dishes. The location in Val David and the Laurentides is described as a gem, with repeated notes of a welcoming, family run operation, and the terrace and veranda being especially appreciated in winter. One review mentions a food safety issue, reminding that experiences can vary. Overall, the place is seen as a dependable, comforting spot for breakfast or lunch, with fresh, flavorful offerings and a charming atmosphere that keeps visitors returning.

Beautiful tiny little European style café run by a friendly couple from France. The specialty coffees are excellent & all the food is made fresh to order from fresh ingredients. I had a sandwich combo that came with an excellent homemade cream of vegetable soup & garden salad, an delicious muffin that was warm out of the oven & a great latté. They also sell some fine European groceries & candles & small crafts. It is very small inside they also offer a heated enclosed patio in the front that is usable even in winter if you are dressed accordingly. There is parking including a public one across the street & another on the side of the building.

Amazing gem in the middle of the Laurentides. Owners are from Provence & the food is excellent, fresh, unique, & authentic.'Simple' bistro food, yet it will leave you thinking you are being served at a high end restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious, fresh, & beautiful. We got the grilled blue cheese & tomato, soup of the day that was a broccoli curry, & a gorgeous small salad.
