Had this place on my'must go to' for a while now. I love the chefs other projects so I was excited to try this one & it did not disappoint. Love being able to sit down, have some inspired & wacky(?) cocktails & have a menu tasting option so I can get a bit of everything.
Standouts tonight were the McNuggets, Philly Cheesesteak raviolis, & filet de sole. The chef also presented us with an incredible passion fruit pannacotta for dessert which I'll definitely be back for.
The place was pretty packed tonight & the energy was fun & I see the terrace being a popular option as it gets warmer. The restaurant is more of an intimate size so make reservations.
Toujours une nouvelle expérience a chaque fois! Entre Loyd, Luis, Humberto & Mathilde, le service est toujours à 100% je m'assois toujours au bar pour voir l'action de la cuisine ouverte & discuter avec les chef (merci Alex!)
we had the group menu, it was $70 plus tax/tip for a few pieces of bread with tomato, two small pieces of meat on a stick & a bolognese ramen…. ramen & bolognese do not go together. Honestly don't know how they have such great reviews! It was a meal that should have costed well below $100 for two, but we spent above $220 without any alcoholic beverages.
However, the servers were very kind.

Nous avons été servis par Humberto qui a été très accueillant & attentionné. Nous avons passé une super belle soirée.
Honestly I was shocked I never had food so bad in Montreal. It feels like they don't know what they want to be yet & are still trying to figure it out. I had the pierogi & as a Polish person I was horrified I had half of one & couldn't stomach the rest. The Birria gnocchi tasted like wet paste. Overall the food was really salty & lacking identity. We ordered almost everything on the menu & the only thing that was really good is Pan con tomate.
The cocktail drinks are great but most of the food I'd stay away from.
