Great tacos that are simple yet made perfectly, the salsa they have with it is just spicy enough, good toppings, very solid.
Nous avons commandé des petites soupes tortillas ainsi que du ceviche de tilapia en entrées, qui étaient très bons. Malheureusement, au moment de manger notre plat principal, les tacos, ils étaient rendus plutôt secs & détrempés. Nous les avons réservés au four à 225 degrés celsius, le temps de manger nos entrées. Je suis déçue que la personne qui a préparé notre commande n'ait pas pensé à nous mettre la garniture des tacos à part, à l'extérieur des tortillas. Cela nous aurait permis de pouvoir mieux les réchauffer, en gardant la viande au chaud dans le four & en réchauffant rapidement les tortillas au poêlon, juste avant de les savourer.
Tout était bon au niveau des saveurs cependant. Autre petit bémol : il manquait la sala verde & la salsa aux tomates dans notre commande. Cela nous aurait aidé à réhydrater un peu les tacos, tout en rehaussant les saveurs. C'est décevant, d'autant plus que lors de la commande on nous demandait de faire un choix de sauce. C'est quand même un ingrédient essentiel des tacos, dommage que ça ait été oublié!
Pour ce qui est des desserts : le gâteau Tres leches & le flanc au caramel avec noix étaient délicieux. Malgré les quelques déceptions, ce fût quand même un bon repas d'anniversaire. Mais définitivement pour les tacos, si je commanderais à nouveau sur Uber Eats, j'appellerais le restaurant pour demander à ce que la garniture soit mise à part, dans des contenants séparés des tortillas.

Love this place! The tacos are really good & we order from them a lot. The al pastor is a definite favorite, & the beef tacos are great too. My husband really enjoys the carnitas burrito.
I've recommended this spot to a few people & they all said they loved it when they tried it!
nachos were really good but can't say the same about tacos. i felt the tacos could me more filling.
I was very intrigued when I first heard about this place because it had opened up on the same block as Tacos Frida & is a direct competitor to them.
Although Cinco de Mayo is not as large, it offers a great menu with selections for both vegetarian & meat eaters.
The chips were served beautifully, arranged in a multi-pointed star with a generous amount of guac.
The tacos you get are filled to the brim & I think the serving size is larger than at tacos frida. I enjoyed what I had, but prefer bean tacos more. If you like cactus, this is the place for you.
The meat tacos thoroughly impressed my friend.
All in all, this restaurant is a fantastic addition to Montréal's limited Mexican scene & the service you receive here is very homey.
Telling that is a great Mexican Restaurant would be true, but this is not just that, this a traditional Mexican place, not because of the space, but the food.
Tradicional, delicious, fresh & is super adorable, like some packages that includes 3 tacos & a soup for less than $14... You got a deal!

I ordered some tacos for delivery & they were aight - nothing special. I returned for an in-person visit much later, had a far better experience with the delicious breakfast burrito. Small restaurant with limited seating. Service was good. Menu selection a bit smaller than other Mexican restaurants.
