Last night, I found myself at Milos, a temple of fine Greek dining, the kind of place reserved for celebrations & special moments. It is a restaurant I know well, one I've visited time & again with a dear friend. This time, however, I went with intention. I ordered the porgy, the very fish I always choose at Christina's, curious to compare, to measure, to see if luxury could rival familiarity.
Ninety dollars later, the plate arrived. & I tell you, the moment my fork met the flesh of that fish, I knew. Instantly. Unequivocally. It did not compare. It could not compare. Christina's remains unmatched.
I left Milos satisfied by the oysters, yes, but with a quiet longing, a craving for Christina's that no price tag could soothe.
I have been going to Christina's for years, & not once-not once-has it failed me. The warmth of the crew makes you feel like family, & the food speaks for itself: honest, generous, unforgettable.
Do yourself a favor. You must go to Christina's. & whatever you do, get the porgy.
Delicious food! Everything tastes homemade & authentic & owners very nice & friendly. Did both takeout & sit down. I can say it's the best Greek resto I've been too & good quality price
I went for dinner at this restaurant for the first time with a friend of mine last night. We had an amazing time, ate amazing food & had amazing service! There were so many delicious options to choose from! Can't wait to go back & try more!!
The food might be ok but the terrible attitude from the owners cannot make up for it. Last year, we ordered a pastitio for take out, amongst many other items. We were given a tiny corner sliver, half burnt. When I called to see what could be done, I was told'nothing, we're done' with an angered tone. Our order was over 120$. Decided to give another chance a few days ago, called to inquire if they had any pastitio left because we wanted to come dine in, & was told in a loud rude tone that they're full. Yelled at the person cooking while speaking to us on the phone. Holy cow do they speak rudely & with attitude. Very unpleasant. Such a shame to have gone so downhill.
Very friendly, warm & inviting restaurant that feels like home. Food is authentic & at par with what you would find in Greece. From seafood to souvlakis, everything's a 10/10. Not much else to say that's already been said in the 1,000+ positive reviews… will take pictures the next time I dine-in.
