It was fine. Kind of overpriced & they didnt have great size availability considering.
There are a few contenders downtown in the Korean fried chicken space, & I have to say most are better than this one. The sauce selection is great but the pricing is not. My half bucket order came out to $5-6 per piece, & they weren't large enough to justify that price. Orders take a long time to make even when they aren't too busy. The overall quality of the product is good but doesn't outshine the others I've tried.
Response to owner reply- I already acknowledged the portion isn't good. That accounts for weight as well. Nice try but give us more chicken for what you're charging.
First time going to Chicken Plus & honestly it was a frustrating experience from start to finish.
No water is served at all - you're forced to buy bottled water from the restaurant just to drink anything with your meal, which already sets a bad tone for a dine-in place. They also don't bother asking whether you want boneless or bone-in chicken, so if you don't explicitly say it upfront, you're stuck with whatever they decide, because apparently changes aren't allowed after the order is placed.
On top of that, $22 for such a small portion of fried chicken feels completely unjustified for what you get. Nothing about the experience matches the price or makes it feel customer-friendly.
Definitely not somewhere I'd rush back to.
I can't believe I paid 20$ for a few pieces of chicken & 3/4 fries. The sizes are so small for the combo. & it must be this one store because I went to the one in Chinatown & they were much more reasonable. The chicken was good tho, just not worth the price
If only this place had been open while I was still going to Concordia!!!!
The chicken was AMAZING, this has officially taken over as my favorite fried chicken place in Montreal, although there are many other great options this one is unbeatable in my opinion. We went there on a calm weekday & were the only customers in the shop. The cashier was so kind & patient, giving us recommendations & showing us portion sizes. We ended up waiting maybe 20 minutes (the cashier did advise us beforehand for the wait) for our meal to come & it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was so fresh & juicy, perfectly seasoned, the bulgogi fries were incredible as well.
I'll be back to try the rosé tteokbokki soon even if I have to travel an hour for it!!!
Food is pretty good but service is SO slow. I waited 40 minutes for a simple combo. Never coming here again
Had the spiciest sauce on my chicken, it was incredibly tasty & made me sweat (I have a very high tolerance). Great food, the service was very nice & gave me an extra sauce on the side which was very kind. Definitely going back for more!
Tasty fried chicken with lot's of sauce options. Will definitely come again!!
