CHI was a bit disappointing considering the high rating. Me & my friends were the first clients to come in & we were sat at the high tables, we asked if it was possible to be changed to a normal table, but they said no. I was okay with that because I thought that they may have been booked for the time of our reservation. (Spoiler: they had many empty tables after we finished eating) The high stools are so uncomfortable I ended up with a backache, you basically have no room to eat comfortably. Anyways, apart from that, we were a party of 6 & all of us ordered a starter, we were all served at the same time except for 2 of my friends who got served their main a long time before everyone else in the group. One of the 2 wasn't even done with her starter. By the time we got our food, they were finished with theirs. The service wasn't that good except for one waiter which was very nice. The food tasted fine to be honest, but they should consider investing in normal tables or they should give the client the choice at reservation to be sat or not at these horrible tables. Do I recommend CHI? not really, but it is a beautiful restaurant. Service is not great at all. Food is okay, they have quite large portions which is good.
I never make the time to write a review, but when it came to Chi I couldn't help myself. We are from out of town & stayed at the Hilton Garden inn. We wanted a nice restaurant that was reasonably priced & was only a 3-4 minute uber from the hotel. We found Chi through Google & thought that we would give it a try. The atmosphere is incredible & they even have a real Terracotta Warrior statue from the set of The Mummy! We started our night with a couple of fancy cocktails! (Highly recommend the mango/chilli margarita) This was followed by a fantastic tower of shots & a side order of French fries. The French fries have a wonderful crunch & are accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce. For my main course I had the Chi burger! This was cooked to perfection & served on a bao bun. (which I had never experienced before) My fiancée ordered the poke bowl, which was not only aesthetically pleasing but she said it was delicious! The portion size was amazing & she was able to bring some home for lunch! All in all, from the friendly service, to the fancy cocktails & the unique Asian décor we truly enjoyed our first experience here in Montreal & at Chi! (I snapped a picture of the statue!)
We had an incredible experience at Chi! Wonderful food, the ambiance could not be better & the staff is absolutely amazing. The fries & poke bowl were so delicious. We can't wait to come back. This truly is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!
J'ai eu le plaisir de choisir pour une première expérience ce restaurant & avoir un diner galant pour la Saint Valentin. Tout était agréable ! L'ambiance, la nourriture & les plats étaient trop bons. Le service était impeccable ! Je recommande cet endroit ! & je reviendrai à coup sûr pour d'autres occasions.
From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are enveloped by that seductive atmosphere with soft lighting, fascinating decoration; in it you can see the dedication & effort they have put to every detail. Courteous & attentive staff. The food was delicious, robust but balanced flavors, visually attractive & well decorated, mixing textures in dishes such as Salmon tartare or Ceviche. Creative cocktails that pair in harmony with food. I recommend coming here & enjoying the experience.
Went for Valentine's Day. Beautiful decor, unfortunately not a place to eat. Same ingredients in all plates. Salty & cabbage everywhere. Fried food feels frozen. Service not up to par. Unfortunately will not be going back. Must be better for drinks. Their bar looks extensive.
Le lieu est intimiste / lumière tamisée , les cocktails sont sophistiqués, la carte de nourriture est courte mais vraiment parfaite ( poisson / vege / viande donc pour tous les goûts ) , je conseil car les prix sont pas excessifs ⚡️
You won't find a more elegant & beautiful ambiance than at Chi with over 100 ceiling lanterns, & their elegant red leather bench seats which are as beautiful as they are comfortable. The very flavorful food & of course the fabulous drinks made for a great night out at Chi on Saturday. The excellent disc jockey played music all evening supporting the fun we were having together.
