On y vient pour la qualité exceptionnelle de la viande (le Ribeye est une pure merveille de tendreté), mais on y reste pour l'âme du lieu. Tout est maîtrisé : des empanadas authentiques aux salades gourmandes d'une grande finesse.

Une expérience incroyable du début à la fin. La viande était absolument délicieuse, cuite à la perfection & pleine de saveur. Les empanadas étaient parmi les meilleures que j'ai mangées : fraîches, bien garnies & tout simplement excellentes.
Le service était chaleureux & l'ambiance très agréable. J'ai tout adoré & je vais certainement y retourner. Si vous cherchez un excellent restaurant argentin avec une cuisine authentique, je le recommande sans hésiter. Un vrai 10/10 !

I went on a Saturday for lunch, the place was very cozy & clean. The owner was very friendly & recommended us with the perfect amount of food for our group. Now for the food, it was spectacular we ordered the platter of meat to share & an extra Ribeye, when I tell you that even the bones had flavour!! Everything was very tasty & authentic, from the entrees of empanadas to the meat & lastly to the delicious crepe as dessert wow I was very impressed. I will definitely be coming back with new people so that they get to try this delicious place! (P.S although the restaurant is small they do tend to accommodate very big groups so for people that want to go but are more than 6 I advise to call & I'm sure they will figure something out for you).

The food was outstanding. The empanadas were delicious, the mille-feuille de pommes de terre was perfectly prepared, & the highlight for me was the crêpe au dulce de leche-absolutely irresistible!
What truly sets this restaurant apart is the hospitality. Barbara's warmth, attention, & genuine care created an atmosphere where we felt more like guests in someone's home than customers in a restaurant.
Great food, wonderful service, & a memorable experience. This Brazilian happily gives Chez Gardel 5 stars-& for one afternoon at least, Brazil & Argentina were on the same team! 🇧🇷❤?🇦🇷

Went really out of our way (West Island) to have dinner at Chez Gardel. Being originally from Argentina I was looking forward to the dishes & they didn't disappoint. The empanada was very good, nice dough without any aftertaste (like many others). The meats were incredible (had a rib eye & costillas). The dessert very delicate & truthful to the original tastes of back home.
& what's more, a great atmosphere & impeccable service. We were greeted by Barbara & Gus (the owners) & were really impressed that we could have a nice dinner with conversation without having to shout at each other to hear ourselves (!!!!!). What a treat.
My wife & I love going out to nice dinners & definitely enjoy an occasional good steak dinner. Chez Gardel blew us away with an exceptional evening of fabulous food, excellent service, lovely paired wines & even a visit from the wonderful owners.
My wife enjoyed the best sirloin she ever tasted & I had the best ribeye ever. The empanadas to share were handmade & had the freshest ingredients, absolutely top notch. We are ones that love to go out to dinners, & have enjoyed some fine dining over the last 40+ years, & Chez Gardel ranks at the top of our list. What a gem!
