Strange experience... there was an older Indian man (either the boss or some manager) that was always standing near us while we were trying to eat. He wasn't doing anything productive except walking around & staring awkwardly at clients & it felt a little bit like being watched by a prison guard. Also, it looks like there's a camera in the women's bathroom pointed directly at the toilet 😬😬😬 However the food was great & our waitress was super nice even if she seemed like she was a bit new to her job.
Very disappointed with the overall food I selected. Service was good & the atmosphere was ok. Curry was too sweet & lacked the Indian flavour profile one comes to expect from a North American Indian restaurant. Appetizer was way too salty & definitely gave the impression that the fry oil needs changing.

I recently dined at Chez Devi Indian Cuisine, & it was a delightful experience that transcended mere dining. The ambiance, enveloped in soothing music, immediately transported me to the heart of India. The staff, with their genuine warmth & hospitality, added an extra layer of charm to the evening. But it was the food that truly stole the show, each dish a culinary masterpiece that allowed me to explore & appreciate the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. It's not just a restaurant; it's a gateway to new cultures, where every bite tells a story.
I'm new in Montreal,, i was looking for an Indian place & i came across the restaurant,,i went inside & the ambience was nice, i ordered chicken curry & naan, the quality is top-notch, great Indian music in the background, they have a great bar too. It's a great place if you're looking to have a dinner. The washrooms were pretty clean. The service was great. Will go back again with friends.
Best Indian food in all of Montreal. Amazing taste & quality, but I remove 1 star because they are cheap & they love ripping you off. I use to always order 150$ worth of food & every single time a bunch of plates would be missing. So now because of their terrible business tactics, I only order 30$ of food at a time to make sure no dishes are misses. They lack business skills. They seem to try to save money by pretending to always forget to add certain items to your delivery but in the end all they do is lose on money & customers. Bad way to do business...very unprofessional way to run a business. You don't get new/satisfied customers by jipping them out of their money...
The food wasn't the actual Indian taste...we ordered Paneer Makhani & Malai Kofta. Paneer Makhani was sweet but still edible but in Malai Kofta, in the name of kofta we were given gulaab jamun without dipped in syrup. We could actually taste the cardommom in the kofta...the quality of food isn't the same anymore...

The food is perfect, If you want to experience authentic indian food this is THE PLACE. Thank you Akash for great & quick service. Quick note: the portions are good, so ask the waiter before ordering & don't forget to try Samosa.
Nous sommes allés célébrer un anniversaire & nous avons adoré la place, le service très agréable & chaque met qu'on a commandé était une délice. One of the best Indian food I have ever tasted in Montreal. So delicious & great service.
Really nice Indian place with amazing food & ambience, the staff is really friendly. Must try the Jumbo mix Grill tandoori dish. Best butter chicken in town.
Very expensive for the quality of the food being served. We were happy to have our dishes served hot but beyond that next time I feel like having Indian food I will make my own with canned sauces just like they do. I am still unsure about the origin of the lamb. A few pieces of meat where spattered among potato cubes in some watery spicy sauce. The waiter was friendly despite the fact that he could not speak a single word of french. In a city like Montreal it is always appalling not being able to be served in your own language. Finally, the menu offers a few draft beers. My Kingfisher ended up being served in a bottle & charged $1.50 more on the bill than the $7.75 original menu price. Sad to say but there are no more good Indian restaurant. Long gone are my memories of Indian feasts in India, they'll never return.
Absolutely delicious, & the service was wonderful! The staff were attentive & friendly, & the ambiance is warm, spacious & authentic. Would recommend to any lovers of indian food!
I have no words to describe how amazing the food was, but I will try anyway....
I have never eaten better Indian food in my life, although I am a big fan of Indian Cuisine.
The flavours, the freshness, the mixtures, the extras on the house, made my lunch at Devi's an unique experience.
A big thank you to the talented chef & to the people working in this restaurants, who know what customer service really is.
