We ordered the chicken biryani & butter chicken, & both were absolutely delicious. Honestly, this is the best Indian cuisine I've tried in Canada so far. Amazing flavors, great quality, & such a pleasant surprise. We'll definitely be back
Nice atmosphere & music. Butter chicken was too sweet for my taste.
Amazing Indian food. We had the butter chicken & chicken tikka masala & both dishes were delicious. Friendly staff made this a great evening.
Great vibes, even better food! The butter chicken is a must-try.
The food I got with the lunch special, the butter chicken combo was wonderful & at an amazing price: with tip & taxes, a soup, bread, entree, side, & dessert were 28 CAD.
Nice restaurant, good prices for lunch, but the butter chicken didn't have much chicken in it.
Chez Devi offers a refined take on North Indian cuisine in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is not a buffet, but they do have an incredible all-you-can-eat weekday menu, which we had the chance to try. The experience is completely different from a traditional buffet-this is elevated dining, where each dish is freshly prepared & beautifully presented.
The butter chicken was rich & flavourful, with a depth of taste that truly stood out. The samosa was generously filled & perfectly crisp, while the masala had just the right amount of heat-spicy enough to add a kick but still approachable for all palates. The gulab jamun was a highlight, with the perfect balance of sweetness.
The ambiance is warm & elegant, making you feel transported to South Asia, & the service was exceptional. The staff frequently offered fresh bread & water, ensuring a top-tier dining experience. With its high-quality cuisine at an accessible price, Chez Devi is perfect for a business lunch, a night out with friends, or a romantic dinner. Definitely worth revisiting!

Their butter chicken is the best you can ever get in Montreal..
Hi last Saturday I visited chez devi restaurant i tried chicken Tika butter chicken garlic Naan Chola btura we went there with my family restaurant environment was very nice service was very good
exceptional experience with authentic Indian cuisine. The naan is perfectly soft & slightly crispy, making it the perfect companion for the dishes. The Butter Chicken stands out as one of the best I've ever had-tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce that's bursting with flavor. The quality of the food here is top-notch, reflecting the care & expertise that goes into each preparation. Highly recommended for anyone craving a true taste of India!
Delicious food, friendly staff. we had naan, butter chicken & snaag paneer, & it was very tasty.
Fantastic butter chicken! Great service & atmosphere. Will go back.
Yesterday, I ordered butter chicken with Naan from this restaurant. Taste was simply amazing & felt like having food in India. I recommend people in downtown should try this!!
Really nice Indian place with amazing food & ambience, the staff is really friendly. Must try the Jumbo mix Grill tandoori dish. Best butter chicken in town.
Habib took care of me & my friends. Suggested we take the lamb korma & the butter chicken, amazing. Offered us shots. Will be going back again forsure.
The food was okay but the service was so poor. Their worker are new & i think they just need money from our pockets. No management. We were four in group & guess what, their food was so expensive, every single person paid $39+tax & i paid $45+tax. I ordered Kadhayi chicken with 3 butter naan & one taj beer which was not good at all. Plus the service was so slow. I don't think I would like to come over here again better to go 3-amigos for easy going & chill food where you can have good quality food. I've been to Tandoori flame in Brampton one & I think the Indian which I had there was good enough. Indian-Beau was one of the good as well.
Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The decor, the atmosphere, the servers & most importantly, the food.
I went during the lunch hours but I asked for the a la carte menu because I like to see everything that is offered.
Anyways, I ordered the chicken tikka, the shredded okra, & their homemade samosas for starters accompanied with a mango yogurt drink. The chicken tikka for an appetizer was very pleasing. Tender & juicy & very flavourful - with the yogurt dip it was perfect! The samosas were also really good, though nothing too too special about them. The shredded okra dish was the server's recommendation (I think he was the manager or something from the way he acted - professional & polite). It was great. The okra isn't for everyone but vegetarians will sure like it. It has a mixture of tangy & spicy flavour with some onions & tomatoes mixed in.
For the main course I asked for the spiciest dish & he recommended the kudai (spelling?) chicken. I also ordered a super spicy chicken biryani. I was extremely pleased with the flavour in both dishes. Boy they were extremely spicy ... Like burning hot panting type spicy. Loved it!
I give this restaurant a 10/10.
I will be back to try their butter chicken & a spicy lamb dish.
