Chez Devi offers a refined take on North Indian cuisine in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is not a buffet, but they do have an incredible all-you-can-eat weekday menu, which we had the chance to try. The experience is completely different from a traditional buffet-this is elevated dining, where each dish is freshly prepared & beautifully presented.
The butter chicken was rich & flavourful, with a depth of taste that truly stood out. The samosa was generously filled & perfectly crisp, while the masala had just the right amount of heat-spicy enough to add a kick but still approachable for all palates. The gulab jamun was a highlight, with the perfect balance of sweetness.
The ambiance is warm & elegant, making you feel transported to South Asia, & the service was exceptional. The staff frequently offered fresh bread & water, ensuring a top-tier dining experience. With its high-quality cuisine at an accessible price, Chez Devi is perfect for a business lunch, a night out with friends, or a romantic dinner. Definitely worth revisiting!

MTL à table 2024 menu. Date night. Exceptionnally overpriced for Indian menu. We were very disappointed. I will not go back. 183$ with wine, tip & taxes. There is absolutely no value, no wow, no nothing. All i did was pay for a meal in a high rent area. No attempts to make our experience memorable, nor try to create repeat customers.

Simple, genuine, & full of flavor. This is the most authentic Indian cuisine you'll find in Montreal. The variety, portion sizes, & taste are spot on. The hospitality & ambiance create the perfect dining experience. I tried the daal makhani, paneer tikka masala, & roti, each dish tasted just like homemade comfort food. They also offer plenty of vegetarian options. Overall, a fantastic experience.
The food & service were great. We opted to order off the menu as there were more authentic options. The food was delicious, portions were more than enough & the service was perfect. We also ordered a recommended appetizer, the fried okra. It's was like eating Indian spiced fries - delicious. Another thing, we were there during Grand Prix, & I didn't feel they took advantage of us like other restaurants that have a separate Grand Prix menu which is really just +15% regular price. I highly recommended Devi next time you're in the area.
exceptional experience with authentic Indian cuisine. The naan is perfectly soft & slightly crispy, making it the perfect companion for the dishes. The Butter Chicken stands out as one of the best I've ever had-tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce that's bursting with flavor. The quality of the food here is top-notch, reflecting the care & expertise that goes into each preparation. Highly recommended for anyone craving a true taste of India!
Food was superb ! Naan was crispy not soggy . The chicken & lamb were cooked to perfection. Best authentic Indian food I've had . Absolutely beautifully presented & staff was amazing .
Atmosphere & ambience is very weird. Place is very dark inside. I have never been to a Indian restaurant in my life where they are blaring a LOUD TECHNO music.
I was a Brit looking for food, & my goodness was this a welcome sight. Perhaps the best Indian cuisine that I've had outside of the British isles. Simply delightful - broccoli starter with cauliflower main. I was grinning from ear to ear. Bon appetite!
Strange experience... there was an older Indian man (either the boss or some manager) that was always standing near us while we were trying to eat. He wasn't doing anything productive except walking around & staring awkwardly at clients & it felt a little bit like being watched by a prison guard. Also, it looks like there's a camera in the women's bathroom pointed directly at the toilet 😬😬😬 However the food was great & our waitress was super nice even if she seemed like she was a bit new to her job.

Very disappointed with the overall food I selected. Service was good & the atmosphere was ok. Curry was too sweet & lacked the Indian flavour profile one comes to expect from a North American Indian restaurant. Appetizer was way too salty & definitely gave the impression that the fry oil needs changing.
I recently dined at Chez Devi Indian Cuisine, & it was a delightful experience that transcended mere dining. The ambiance, enveloped in soothing music, immediately transported me to the heart of India. The staff, with their genuine warmth & hospitality, added an extra layer of charm to the evening. But it was the food that truly stole the show, each dish a culinary masterpiece that allowed me to explore & appreciate the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. It's not just a restaurant; it's a gateway to new cultures, where every bite tells a story.
I'm new in Montreal,, i was looking for an Indian place & i came across the restaurant,,i went inside & the ambience was nice, i ordered chicken curry & naan, the quality is top-notch, great Indian music in the background, they have a great bar too. It's a great place if you're looking to have a dinner. The washrooms were pretty clean. The service was great. Will go back again with friends.
Best Indian food in all of Montreal. Amazing taste & quality, but I remove 1 star because they are cheap & they love ripping you off. I use to always order 150$ worth of food & every single time a bunch of plates would be missing. So now because of their terrible business tactics, I only order 30$ of food at a time to make sure no dishes are misses. They lack business skills. They seem to try to save money by pretending to always forget to add certain items to your delivery but in the end all they do is lose on money & customers. Bad way to do business...very unprofessional way to run a business. You don't get new/satisfied customers by jipping them out of their money...
