The
Food was mediocre - well, what'I' had was mediocre. Vegetable fried rice. I ate it fast because I was super hungry. Rice had no real flavor. I had to add spicy hot sauce.
The server who prepped my table with a plate with chopsticks & napkins, dropped the plate on the table so hard that it startled me & a woman next to me who looked at me like,'smh'. I read her face good because that's what I was thinking. I know they're rushing & all but still be - aware.
There was a little lady running around there really working hard but as I waited for my table, I watched her do multiple things, handling money, handling plates, coughing into sleeve. Personally, I wish I could have seen her wash her hands at least once, the whole time.
With that on my mind, I ate my meal. I'm sure the five star reviews are valid but my experience was this one. I probably will not be back, unfortunately.View more

Found myself alone in Montreal on a Friday night. Chinatown was not far from hotel. Came upon this restaurant after asking for a recommendation in an Asian Market. Chez Chili was some of the best Szechuan I've ever had.
The wait staff was so nice . You could tell they have regulars that come in- which is a good sign.View more

Mamchmal sind die versteckten Kellerlokale die Besten! Wir haben Chez Chili nur zufällig entdeckt und fanden es wirklich sehr gut. Okay, es ist Keller und eher sachlich eingerichtet. Aber das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, der Service ist auch gut. Wir hatten 2x Chicken und 1x Nudeln. Bei den Chicken gab es quasi kein Gemüse, ist aber hier wohl so üblich. Also am besten 1x Fleisch & 1x Gemüse bestellen und dann teilen. Eine kleine Portion Reis reicht auch locker für zwei Personen.View more

I was genuinely impressed by the level of service at this restaurant. Despite arriving just before closing time, the staff welcomed us warmly & never made us feel rushed. They were incredibly patient, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a comfortable pace. Even after closing hours had passed, they continued to refill our water & check in on us with a smile. It's rare to find a place that balances efficiency with such genuine hospitality.

Had a really good dinner here. The food is amazing & the service is really quick & friendly. We did the twice cooked pork & the general tao chicken. The pork dish was very authentic & quite spicy which we liked. The general tao chicken was also really good. I wish that dish had some vegetables that came with it. Looking forward to our next visit to try some other dishes.View more
