The chicken paprikash & ghoulash were both so so good! Highly recommend.
Des assiettes très généreuses & tout aussi délicieuses.
Mme. Anna nous cuisine ça comme si nous étions chez elle. Quelle dame adorable. Les prix sont très très abordables. Faut y aller !
So homey & cozy, tasted just like my parents cooking-so authentic & filling! The portions were huge, I wish I lived in Montreal so I could come all the time. ♥?
Anna is the sweetest woman, food is made fresh to order, & absolutely deliciousssss
You must, must come here! The food is incredible. Literally all the dishes are spectacular.
This is an undiscovered gem. You have to walk through a grocery store to get to the restaurant, but do not fret. IT IS WORTH IT.
The atmosphere is not fantastic, but I tell you it does not matter, because the food is that good. Service is incredible.
Eating here is like a warm hug from a Hungarian aunty. 10/10.
An incredible meal! I felt like I was in Anna & Edith's home- a cosy environment watching Anna cook.
Goulash & apple streudel were 11/10.
Will return next week!
The magic starting from the first bite.... :)
Recommend for people that like authentic food with cozy atmosphere 👌
Chez Anna is everything I love about eating out: trying something fun & delicious prepared by someone who clearly loves what they do & food too.
We each sampled a schnitzel with spaetzel, my partner had the pork & I had the chicken. It was perfectly prepared, wasn't greasy at all. Anna accommodated my allergy easily & swapped my side for cucumber salad which was also excellent.
We also had her chicken noodle soup to start which was tasty & fresh too.
If I lived in Montreal, I'd be here all the time.
This place reminds me of being in Hungary, the atmosphere, the owners & the food was amazing & authentic. If we lived here this place would be a regular.
my favorite to go place when craving sweet home made with love food :))
Chez Anna pushes generous portions hard. Fish & chips come stacked: large fillets, light batter, & their battered fries hit the same crisp-satisfying note. The fish is fresh, which shows in both texture & flavor, & makes sense given the place doubles as a fish shop.
There is a strong Hungarian thread in the menu. Hearty stews, comforting sides, & seasoning profiles you don't often see in similar casual spots. That mix of a fish counter with Central European comfort food makes the place feel distinct.
Tucked away & easy to overlook, it fits the hidden gem label. Unpretentious, good value, & memorable for both portion size & the unexpected range of dishes.
