Review Summary

Che Churro draws strong praise for its churros, especially the dulce de leche and lemon varieties, described as crispy on the outside with a creamy filling and among the best in Montreal; the empanadas are noted as fresh and well filled, with vegetarian and vegan options highlighted; the staff are consistently praised for friendliness, professionalism and attentive service, and the shop is described as clean and welcoming. Some caveats appear, including churros arriving at room temperature rather than hot and occasional reports of empanadas being microwaved when no cook is on site, which can affect quality; there are also a few mentions of dips in consistency with greasy or less fresh fillings. Overall, Che Churro is seen as a strong neighborhood spot for sweets and snacks, with many customers happy to return.

We get a dozen frozen empanadas regularly, they have a number on them so you can know which are which!!
They are all great & fresh quality tasting, don't hesitate. This place is a gift to the neighborhood !!!

This is one of my top three spot for churros! Everything was good, we always order a dozen. My only complaint this time is that the guava churros weren't as fresh as the dulce de leche & the custard ones.

As someone that is born & raised in Argentina, I'm well trained to know what truly authentic taste of Argentinian food tastes like. Sadly, Chechuro missed the mark on quality & authentic taste. I ordered a few items via Uber Eats, to proudly celebrate the winning of Argentina in the Copa America. I had ordered two empanadas(1 of chicken & 1 of ham & cheese) The chicken empanada was superb! Tasty, well seasoned, not spicy & lovely texture. The ham & cheese one was a total failure. The ham was incredibly salty, had an artificial smoke aftertaste & there were no traces of cheese to be found. None! Simply an only an overwhelming amount of ham. I had also requested for some chimichurri, that was missing in my order. Last but not least.. The chocolate alfajor was terrible. Far from being fresh, tasty & not at all authentic. It had a very noticeable stale & old taste with a very dry & mealy texture. I'm still looking for any traces of dulce de leche as any traditional Argentinian alfajor should have. I'm debating whether to give them a second chance as 2 out of the 3 items were very unpalatable & unpleasant. I'll give it some thought.

My bf & i went here to check the FAMOUS churros. The last time i had a taste of a good one was when i was still back in my country & i was 8 y/o back then. Finally, the long wait was over because we found this place that's been getting a lot of compliments in the past 6 months. We went for a visit on a Saturday afternoon. We don't have a car & thinking that it would be on the way around any metro or a little walk from the metro.. we walked, got lost, walked, got lost til we completely found the place. It was tiny. A pastry shop & somewhat like a convenient store at the same time. We were greeted politely by a guy whom we believed, was the owner. He was very kind. Unfortunately, the churros he gave us was kinda old. I am 110% sure it's been sitting there for a good amount of hours & hopefully, not for days. It was hard as rock. Sure it looks like the real churros but we were disappointed with the taste; the rating of how good it was. We bought 6 originals & 6 dulce de leche. However, it is cheap. I think if it's fresh from the kitchen or fryer or oven, we would have appreciated that small, cheap thrill a little more. I don't think we are going to check this place out for another visit.

After hearing so many good reviews from friends we decided to try the place. I had tried Churros elsewhere but these are incredible. Very crispy, fresh & very tasty, the best. highly recommended
