We went to Le Chalutier several times & had fish N chips or the other fish on the menu.
Yesterday we had the veal liver & it was a disappointment.
The liver was fine but the connective tissue( it is like a rope) was not removed & it made the liver difficult to cut & chewy.
The vegetables were overcooked, carrots & green beans.
The mash potatoes, the Greek potatoes & the side salad was delicious.
Our server was Audrey & we had excellent service.
We were four people, three ordered liver & one ordered hamburger steak.
The liver was a disappointment but the soup & the dessert was great.
Next time we will order fish.
Maybe the chef can improve the liver by simply removing this'rope like' chewy thing attached to the liver, hope so!

Un excellent restaurant, tous les repas sont délicieux. Les personnes âgés sont super respectés. Beaucoup de places pour les handicapés. C'est les meilleurs fish & chips au monde. Venez prendre un repas & dès que vous venez une fois, vous allez y revenir. Ça fait 15ans que je viens à ce restaurant. Venez prendre un bon repas, avec un service impécable. Diane & Pierre. Nous avons été bien accueilli mais malheureusement l'espace pour manger est trop petit & tellement bruyant . Le temps d'attente pour d'une heure pour souper est hors de question. Nous avons décidé de prendre notre repas pour emporter . Je comprends que vous êtes très populaire & de ce fait même indépendant. Qu'est-ce que ce serait de prendre des réservations plutôt que de faire attendre les gens comme des pantins. De plus la clientèle est âgés ; c'est un manque respect de ne pas apportez de changement.
We have been going to this establishment for a few years. Food is excellent. We unfortunately had a service issue on last visit. We had 2 children with us & waiter did not use judgement when he realized I had ordered an adult menu & split it as I was not aware they had one. He charged us a $4 fee plus jello cost. Had we ordered the kids menu it was $24 total , this way it turned out $29 plus taxes & service. In our places waiters would offer some sort of compensation, he showed no understanding & offered no adjustment. The other staff here are excellent from the entry ladies to the service ones.
Bouffe & service 5* Le pâté au saumon est excellent, tout comme le mille-feuille maison.
Ce resto m'a ramené dans mon enfance, repas de ma mère fait avec amour. Toujours magnifiquement bon.
L'essayer, c'est l'adopter assurément.
Rarement fréquenté un restaurant aussi performant! Le service est courtois, fonctionnel & d'une efficacité déconcertante. Un menu complet varié & sans prétention. Une salle totalement occupée, repas délicieux, rien d'expéditif mais complété en 1heure15. Bravo!
