Très bonne ambiance, avec un concept speakeasy & des jeux qui rendent l'expérience vraiment sympa. Les cocktails étaient très bons. En revanche, gros point négatif : un verre nous a été facturé deux fois &, malgré plusieurs relances & plus d'un mois d'attente, nous n'avons toujours pas reçu le remboursement.

Bad service, inattentive staff, terrible management! Saw it on social media & was really excited to try it out but unfortunately the experience was far from being the fun & enjoyable experience I expected. Plenty of fun cocktail bars in old port to try. This one is not worth your time & money.

Unfortunately a really disappointing experience. My friend & I arrived just after 11 p.m. & were told we had to spend minimum $25 on a drink as a cover to get into the speakeasy (since it was after 11pm).
We agreed since we'd probably spend that much each at least anyway. We were brought to the waiting area/queue & realized we had to order drinks there before even getting into the speakeasy itself.

What bothered us most was seeing multiple groups of white women & men, being let in without waiting or paying for drinks, while everyone left in the queue with us were people of colour. Based on what we witnessed, the difference in treatment made us feel racially profiled & extremely unwelcome.

To top it off, when we got in, the music was unbearably loud, making it almost impossible to have a conversation. Also, the place was practically empty which is interesting since we had to wait a while! Overall, a very disappointing experience, & we won't be returning.

Maxine (our server) took the time to suggest bars & clubs for us whilst offering a customer service friendly service. Cappella embraces what Montreal night life has to offer. Cocktails are elegant, the music is bumpin, don't miss out on your opportunity. You will not regret it

We were the only people in the restaurant in the afternoon. We just wanted a nice spot to have a coffee & chill out. My boyfriend asked if the white chocolate cookie had nuts, the best the server could say was that there was the risk of cross-contamination. That's pretty standard.
Cookie came & I could clearly see it what white chocolate macadamia. He is super allergic. I ate the cookie, he ordered the chocolate chip one. The white chocolate one ended up on our bill, which I didn't love since it was very obviously something we never would have ordered if the kitchen bothered to read the box it came in.
Server was kind though, & the seating is very nice.

Cappella is an amazing speakeasy bar! After going to a few bars in Old Montreal Cappella is easily one of my favourites! The entire experience is so fun & the vibes of the speakeasy are amazing!

While I didn't have any of the snacks or food, the drinks were amazing with great recommendations from our server Max! She really took care of us & even checked in on us while we were dancing in the club area of the bar! She was so kind & made sure we were comfortable in the dance area & brought an amazing energy & absolute kindness! She gave amazing recommendations for restaurants around & even a few other bars to try which is so incredibly kind of her! Max made the experience so incredible at Cappella!

This is truly a gem of a place with amazing vibes of the cellar stone, hidden entrance, & very friendly & welcoming staff! Such a fun & unique set up to enjoy while in Old Montreal night life! Completely recommend going later in the evening when night life is active in Montreal to enjoy the full experience!

Had such an amazing time here! Everyone was incredibly welcoming & friendly from the moment we walked in, but Josh completely stole the show. He was so friendly & hands-down makes the absolute best drinks! The vibe is great & we will definitely be back. 10/10 recommend!
