Petit endroit bien sympathique, chaleureux & sobre. J'y suis allé pour manger avec des amis un matin de décembre. Pas de double porte, donc il faisait un peu froid par moment.
Belle variétés dans le menu! L'endroit est vraisemblablement victime de sa popularité puisqu'il manquait de places où s'asseoir pour les trois moussaillons que nous étions. Sandwich déjeuner au jambon vraiment bon!

Used to have an excellent sandwich (jambon emmental) & bread here - am a regular customer! Recently the last 2 visits, the bread for the Jambon Emmental sandwich has definitely changed & is not prepared well 😞 no longer worth the cost so will not orde

Canard Café, for me, is the spiritual successor to Hoché Café &, though that's often the reason that I go inside, it simply does not hit the same way. I don't believe two sandwiches & a drink should be more than 40$ without tip, but I guess that's my neighborhood now.

Okay place, with okay service & okay food. Pastries were too sweet for my taste, not worth it. The dish I ordered (which is one of the most popular) felt like a'build your own' sandwich - tasty. I think it's a different concept, I'd rate it around 7-8, so 4 stars is enough.

The taste of sandwiches was really good. I liked the pistachio latte. It was crowded & somewhat hard to find a seat. We sat on the high chairs in front of the window.

This is my favourite café in Montreal for just having coffee, working on the laptop or meeting people. The staff is super friendly & the quality of the coffee, pastries, sandwiches & salads is consistently superb!

Maybe it was the fact Covid doesn't let me out anymore, or maybe it was the fact that Hoche Café is really just that amazing. My morning espresso was literally the best I can remember having coupled with a generous & savory breakfast sandwich, & it was made all the better by the knowledgeable, upbeat & friendly staff! I also purchased ground coffee, & was blown away by the amazing (& local) selection, as well as the wonderful advice of the in-house barista. I'll be back...SOON! Thanks Hoche-Café for starting my day off perfectly!

Canard cafe is a neighborhood cafe, very laptop & business meetings friendly. I go there with my laptop & can easily spend the day. Coffee (double espresso lungo) is on point, food is really good, I love their Montreal grilled cheese sandwich, the Tahiti salad & their daily soups are served with freshly grilled baguette giving the soup an extra punch. Their dessert & pastries are good by their own merit, the dates square are my favorite.

Excellent food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. The menu options are limited (4 sandwich choices) plus a couple salads & grilled cheeses but it seems whatever you choose will please your palate.
