So many options it was hard to choose! We opted to share a duck sausage breakfast sandwich which came on a perfect brioche bun. We also shared an almond croissant which was so decadent with a buttery filling. & both the latté & mocha were both perfection!

My only requests are for avocado to be added to the breakfast sandwich, & longer opening hours! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, numerous tables, & pistachio latte! 😍

Nous venons régulièrement pour le déjeuner. C'est toujours très bon. Le service est très sympa & il y a une bonne ambiance ! Les sandwichs déjeuner & soupes sont excellents.

Bonne ambiance avec des grandes tables à l'arrière pour étudier. Mais les portions étaient un peu petites - j'ai pris le Sandwich Montréal & je le trouvais petit pour 12,5$... L'assiette brunch non-vege était bonne mais aussi 18,5$ assez cher pour ce que c'était. Mais le personnel était très sympathique & le café très bon.

I recently visited Canard Café in Montreal with my partner for lunch, & we had a decent experience. My partner ordered the ham sandwich on a baguette, & I opted for the goat cheese salad. While the food was good, it didn't stand out as anything exceptional. I also ordered a cortado, which was enjoyable, but I did notice a few issues in the coffee preparation process. It was disappointing to see that they didn't use a scale to ensure precise espresso dosing. Additionally, the barista's steaming technique seemed improper & caused the milk to "scream," which can be detrimental to the machine. Furthermore, the barista's lack of constant hand contact with the pitcher for temperature judgment was a letdown. Lastly, the espresso was tamped using improper technique, lacking the even bed leveling before tamping & a 90° angle tamp. In summary, Canard Café provided a decent meal, but the coffee preparation could use some improvements for a more refined experience.

Food was disappointing. If the portion isn't minuscule, the quality is barebones & flat. Cant win. Coffee was _okay_ & the portions generous. Don't order sandwiches. Soup is fine but slightly bland.

Sandwich is REALLY GOOD especially they toast it up for you! Chocolate croissant is fluffy & soft but could add a bit more chocolate. Iced matcha latte was okay. The matcha powder didn’t dissolve completely & had chunks floating. The vibe of the cafe is relatively more quiet, chill & comfy. It’s a perfect spot for studying or reading a book.
