Right from when you walk in you feel the warmth of the people who work here. What a lovely experience for this traveller! They were patient with my inadequate French, friendly & warm. Get the house smoked salmon anything! I had the bagel with salmon & cream cheese, so flaky & not over smoked. My daughter had the granola bowl & loved it too, excellent mix of sweet & tart. If you like tea lattes, definitely try the Montreal Fog.

J'ai essayé deux cafés différents & ils étaient délicieux. Mon nouvel endroit favori pour un bon latté de qualité. Le grilled cheese « Montréal » était bon mais je m'attendais à mieux.

Beau petit café, situé dans un secteur de Montréal (Maisonneuve) qui offre peu d'options de sorties. Leur chaï latte est très bon! Par contre, l'ambiance est gâchée par le bruit excessif & la boucane qui émanent de l'espace "cuisine" situé en plein milieu du local. On ressort de ce café mal ventilé avec des vêtements qui sentent le grilled cheese brûlé! C'était la même chose quand ce local était occupé par le Hoche Café.

Canard cafe is a neighborhood cafe, very laptop & business meetings friendly. I go there with my laptop & can easily spend the day. Coffee (double espresso lungo) is on point, food is really good, I love their Montreal grilled cheese sandwich, the Tahiti salad & their daily soups are served with freshly grilled baguette giving the soup an extra punch. Their dessert & pastries are good by their own merit, the dates square are my favorite.

Excellent food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. The menu options are limited (4 sandwich choices) plus a couple salads & grilled cheeses but it seems whatever you choose will please your palate.

I recently visited Canard Café in Montreal with my partner for lunch, & we had a decent experience. My partner ordered the ham sandwich on a baguette, & I opted for the goat cheese salad. While the food was good, it didn't stand out as anything exceptional. I also ordered a cortado, which was enjoyable, but I did notice a few issues in the coffee preparation process. It was disappointing to see that they didn't use a scale to ensure precise espresso dosing. Additionally, the barista's steaming technique seemed improper & caused the milk to "scream," which can be detrimental to the machine. Furthermore, the barista's lack of constant hand contact with the pitcher for temperature judgment was a letdown. Lastly, the espresso was tamped using improper technique, lacking the even bed leveling before tamping & a 90° angle tamp. In summary, Canard Café provided a decent meal, but the coffee preparation could use some improvements for a more refined experience.

Very charming cafe within walking distance of the Olympic Stadium. Lots of cafe choices. David enjoyed a grilled cheese & I had a grilled baguette with a hot almond milk latte.
