Our mission: to offer ethical, delicious, and local coffee in a warm and friendly setting. Canard Cafe in Hochelaga Montreal is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth & hospitality. The atmosphere is cozy & inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone. The menu offers a delightful selection of dishes, each prepared with care & bursting with flavor. I especially loved their duck confit, which was cooked to perfection. The staff is attentive & knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations or accommodate dietary preferences. Overall, Canard Cafe exceeded my expectations, & I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience!

I will be honest, the coffee was not my favorite. If you like citrus/acidic coffee, this would be your spot. I did not try any of the food so I cannot comment on this. The atmosphere of the café is cute & cozy, I would definitely come study here!

Petit café avec des bonnes portions, surprise plaisante pour ce genre de restaurant. Le décor & l'ambiance sont parfaites & le service très amical. Les repas sont délicieux & les pâtisseries sont goûteuses. Je retournerai là durant ma prochaine visite à Montréal.

Un gentil service, une place idéale pour des réunions entre amis ou collègues, des grandes tables à partager !Mais jamais pour lire, la musique était très bruyante! j'ai goûté leur café! La décoration est sympa & joyeux ! Leur logo est trop cool!

Bonne ambiance avec des grandes tables à l'arrière pour étudier. Mais les portions étaient un peu petites - j'ai pris le Sandwich Montréal & je le trouvais petit pour 12,5$... L'assiette brunch non-vege était bonne mais aussi 18,5$ assez cher pour ce que c'était. Mais le personnel était très sympathique & le café très bon.

Staff absolument adorable & toujours très agréable. Bon petit café de quartier pour se poser avec un livre, du travail ou un.e ami.e. Un peu cher (mais comme la plupars des cafés au moment où ce commentaire est publié)

I recently visited Canard Café in Montreal with my partner for lunch, & we had a decent experience. My partner ordered the ham sandwich on a baguette, & I opted for the goat cheese salad. While the food was good, it didn't stand out as anything exceptional. I also ordered a cortado, which was enjoyable, but I did notice a few issues in the coffee preparation process. It was disappointing to see that they didn't use a scale to ensure precise espresso dosing. Additionally, the barista's steaming technique seemed improper & caused the milk to "scream," which can be detrimental to the machine. Furthermore, the barista's lack of constant hand contact with the pitcher for temperature judgment was a letdown. Lastly, the espresso was tamped using improper technique, lacking the even bed leveling before tamping & a 90° angle tamp. In summary, Canard Café provided a decent meal, but the coffee preparation could use some improvements for a more refined experience.
