Bill came up to 40$ per person !!
Waaay too overpriced for the quality of food offered & what seems to be the owner will sneak in a 15% tip by force, like she will insist & act out like she doesn't speak English. I wouldn't have minded if the food was actually good.
Unfortunately, this is on the lower end of AYCE sushi options in the South Shore area, especially as someone who has lived in Brossard for many years.
Food: The sashimi was generally fresh, but the selection was quite limited. The maki & sushi were below average. The skewers arrived lukewarm, with the sauce already stuck on top, which made them feel like they had been sitting for a while. We came on the Saturday night, but I wouldn't say the special weekend menu is worth the extra cost.
Service: The waiters & waitresses were nice, but the ordering system was frustrating. The iPad app crashed multiple times. We placed several orders through the iPad, but after waiting more than 30 minutes, at least five orders still hadn't arrived. When we asked the staff, we were told that the kitchen hadn't received the orders & that there was no way for them to track them. We had to reorder everything, which wasted quite a bit of time.
Overall: with the quality of the sushi, I don't think it's worth the price. Maybe your experience will be different, but for me, it's a one-time visit. There are definitely better AYCE sushi options in the area.
The food was so-so, & overall it was an average experience-until the end of our meal.
When we received the bill, the waiter was rude & pressured us to leave a higher tip. I explained that tipping is optional, but he responded,'You're not at McD... here.' He then banged on the table, grabbed the payment terminal, & walked away without giving me my receipt.
Regardless of the quality of the food, disrespectful & intimidating behavior toward customers is unacceptable. Customers should never feel pressured into leaving a larger tip than they choose. I hope management addresses this incident, as it reflects poorly on the restaurant.
The food quality here is a bit of a mixed bag, with excellent fish presentation but some technical issues with the rice. The sashimi options are on the smaller side, featuring a three-piece assortment; while the salmon & white fish are generously sized, the kani is served almost entirely whole. As for the sushi, the fish is beautifully cut, but the rice lacks seasoning & is packed way too densely-turning what should be a fluffy bite into a heavy brick. Additionally, no wasabi is included in the sushi build. Finally, the hosomaki is double the traditional size, making it quite clumsy & difficult to eat in one bite.
There were many items missing from our order that never arrived. The overall quality of the food was not very good. Additionally, several dishes remained empty for a long time without being removed.
