Afficher toutcake(18) cafe(16) matcha(12) latte(8) drink(7) cozy(7) slice(6) bread(6) strawberry(5) sweet(4) coffee(4) hojicha(4)Cute vibe & wonderful service, but nothing else stood out. Cake & matcha were fine, but not worth 22$ unfortunately. & not a lot of seating available, we almost didn't have a space to sit down.
Great place! Drinks & desserts have just the right level of sweetness & are quite delicate in terms of taste. The banana matcha is probably the best matcha-based drink I've ever had. Will come back to try more things ✨
an extremely cute place!!!! their cakes look so unique!
i got a salt bread & a strawberry matcha. the salt bread was really good & indeed lives up to its name. it feels almost too salty to be eaten even in moderation however (but that's not the cafe's fault i think that's just the concept of a salt bread lol). the bread itself is really nicely baked & there was cheese inside which added a nice touch.
the strawberry matcha had the perfect balance between sweet &'matcha'. the only thing i'd say is that it felt quite light. light in the sense that 1) it felt a bit too watery for a milk-based drink 2) however there was no dairy/milky aftertaste so that was pleasant!
overall a cute cafe with a very nice/warm atmosphere :)
The mango matcha drink was really good. Earl grey cake had no flavour.
We visited Café Nook on a Saturday around lunch-time. It's a relatively new café in the Plateau but appears to be well-loved. The décor was cute with some plushies here & there, as well as a post-it note wall filled with little notes from visitors. The music playing wasn't too loud so it's a place you can study at or have a conversation with friends. Another big plus was that the bathroom was very clean.
The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, & took great care to ensure the cakes & drinks came out perfect! Being a Korean dessert café, they had many traditional cakes & patisseries, but also some unique flavours such as injeolmi cake (Korean sweet rice cake). Their drink menu is extensive & very tempting, including strawberry matcha & nut milk-based beverages.
We tried the matcha latte, hojicha latte, earl grey cake slice, & moka cake slice. The cake slices were a tad pricier than average, but I would say it's justified as the slices are significantly more generous. Both cake flavours were light & airy, & not too sweet (asians will know this is the greatest compliment). The latte prices are in-line with most cafés in the city. Matcha & hojicha lattes are often a hit-or-miss in the city due to sub-par tea quality, but Café Nook's tea quality was great & the beautiful latte art was a cherry-on-top.
We will definitely be returning whenever we're in the area to try more of their extensive menu.
I was strolling around the Plateau area & I came across Cafe Nook. It truly is a gem. Their matcha is so good, & comforting. My friend Ben ordered all of their matcha products because it was so good. The whole cafe feels super cozy & perfect for relaxing & studying. & Alex, who works there, is so handsome & friendly, which somehow makes the experience even sweeter. Definitely a lovely spot to visit.
