The BEST matcha, made with love & care by the lovely Mina. This cafe is such a cute spot, & I loved every moment about it, from choosing my drink, to have a lovely conversation with Mina, & then drinking my Iced Oat Matcha outside, reading my kindle in the sun, 10/10 vibes & matcha!
We found this cute little coffee shop early in the 🌄 early morning & got ourselves a refreshing drink. Lemonade 🍋🥭 & mango 🥭 & 🍋🌺 Lemonade hibiscus 🌺. 😋 relaxing vibe music 🎶.
At first glance it's a cute cozy cafe on Notre Dame at. There aren't many seats & not many plugs for computers (it's a no computer zone on weekends).
The vanilla iced latte was good, the coffee is strong. But the Earl gray matcha was just not good. The syrup was overpowering so it was just too sweet & took over the whole drink so I couldn't taste the matcha. Early gray is just tea so it was giving diluted less flavourful iced chai.
I was so disappointed, I'm sure that the matcha itself is good given the colour of the green was super vibrant & green, I just couldn't taste any of it.
I went back to tell the employee that it's too sweet & that I couldn't taste the matcha & she told me she could take ice off & add milk...
I let her do her thing knowing I'd be left with room temperature milky sweetness... I'm forcing myself to drink as much as I can given I paid 10$ for the drink.
More milk in an overly sweet diluted matcha won't fix it obviously, any barista would know whatever matcha flavour that could've been there is gone for sure now. They asked how it was & I said'mm..it's good.. now..' (don't do that).
I'm at a loss, I'm not going back a third time to complain, one time is my limit.
I ordered an iced matcha latte. It was well balanced, not too sweet & the level of ice was perfect (many other places add way too much ice & not enough milk).
Staff members were nice, helpful & efficient. They prepared my drink in a timely manner despite the long queue of customers.
The only thing I wish since Cafe Mina Mina's got a cozy ambiance is more space with more tables. It's a considerably tight cafe & I would've loved to sit at a table & do some computer work.
A small, lovely café specializing in a variety of matcha drinks. We ordered the regular matcha latte & the earl grey matcha latte - both were great. The earl grey & matcha balanced each other well, with neither overpowering the other. Seating is limited (stools & small tables), so it's better suited for solo visits or small groups.
Passed by this cozy coffee shop & loved it. We tried the cardamom latte & will definitely go back to try their other specialty drinks & snacks. Highly recommend!
One of my new favourite coffee shops. The owner, Mina, is so incredibly kind & clearly embodies the essence of what it is time to love what you do. I really love their seasonal drinks & syrups, & the cheese croissant is a favourite of mine--warmed up, of course! The staff is so lovely, patient & kind. I also love that they have a rewards program for a free coffee after 10 stamps! A gem that's always worth the stop for. On a side note, it's always an additional pleasure to support local when the values of the business you're investing in align with your own. Wishing Mina & her team the best!
By faaaaar THE best coffees in Montreal. I detour before going to work to come here because it is That good. Any drink on the menu is a 10/10. Plus they carry my favorite coffee beans 18Sankat!
