What can I say? Cafe Lulu is our FAVOURITE place to come in MTL.
We've travelled here often in the past few months & Lulu is a must-go for us. If the breakfast options don't get you, their Cajun chicken sandwich is to DIE for & is something I always need to have before we travel home.
The staff are the most welcoming in the city we've seen by far. They even remembered us multiple times when travelling!

Magnifique café. Service aimable par deux messieurs très gentils. Café impeccable avec un verre d'eau. Malheureusement c'est une place pour se faire poser un lapin.
The amount of respect you'll receive here generally depends on the amount you spend. If you don't spend much, you will not get much respect. Their rudeness is subtle (looks, gestures, an unwelcoming vibe) but you will know they want you to leave.
But even if you spend a lot, service seems to be hit or miss. Read the critical reviews here & you'll see what I mean. No computers allowed, no settling in. Just spend your money & leave.
I guess long-term repeat customers don't matter. Very short sighted.

This place was amazing! The kind gentleman served me while I visited Montreal & helped me practice my French each day I visited. I highly recommend this cafe! The coffee was amazing & atmosphere was so comfortable. C'est très bien!
such a cute cafe, & the employees & owner(s) are so nice! we got crepes & a smoked salmon bagel which were all delicious, as well as hot chocolate which I definitely recommend.
Every item on the menu looks tempting, & it was hard to choose. We tried the jambon crêpe & the jambon omelette, & both were absolutely heavenly-full of flavor & perfectly prepared. The space is very clean, cozy, & authentic, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly helpful & welcoming. The coffee deserves a special mention-the vanilla latte was the best I've had in a long time. We truly enjoyed every single bite of our breakfast & would happily come back again. ☕🥐
Ils ont aucun respect....Je vais à cet endroit là depuis plusieurs années. J'ai suis allé pour le déjeuner en revenant de voyage aujourd'hui. J'avais l'intention de dîner aussi là-bas en attendant mon souper du nouvel an: j'irai au Starbucks. J'ai commandé deux breuvage & un bagel au saumon. Le propriétaire m'a demandé de sortir. C'est inacceptable. Mon sandwich était fruits & j'en passe. J'allais là-bas depuis leur ouverture. Ze

Cafe Lulu was near our hotel. It appears unassuming, but it's a treasure. Our family tried the sweet & savory crepes as well as the avocado toast & pastries. The portions were very generous & I felt like I was immersed in to a traditional Montreal experience, that only locals would know.
We are in Montreal & staying a block from here so we stopped in for breakfast. The staff were very friendly & we really enjoyed our breakfast here.
We all had crêpes & I had a coffee. My youngest son ordered a Nutella with no bananas & when they brought it to our table the lady said crêpe with extra bananas. It made me smile.
I'd definitely recommend this place, & we plan to have Breakfast again there tomorrow before we leave for New York because it was so awesome!

La crêpe à la crème de pistache est succulente (pour ceux qui aiment ça 😊). Service chaleureux & très aimables. Lieux sympathique, chaleureux & intime. Bravo!
