We've known Restaurant Café Lazio for a few years now, & it has always been one of our favorite brunch spots. The brunch is consistently excellent, the service is warm & welcoming, & while the menu is simple, every dish showcases fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Tonight was our very first dinner experience, & we were honestly left beyond impressed.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ramsey, who was exceptionally polite & courteous. Throughout the evening, Marie took care of our table of four. She was attentive, professional, efficient, & struck the perfect balance between being available & allowing us to enjoy our evening.
The atmosphere is intimate & romantic, making it an ideal destination for a date night. In our case, it was a family gathering, & the relaxed ambiance made for a wonderful evening.
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes. While Italian cuisine is clearly the restaurant's specialty, there are enough choices to satisfy every palate. In addition to the regular menu & the daily specials, don't hesitate to ask your server if there's an off-menu feature, you may be pleasantly surprised. I certainly was when I was offered the entrecôte.
The steak was outstanding. The quality of the meat rivaled what you'd expect from an upscale steakhouse, & it was cooked to absolute perfection-rare, exactly as requested.
Around the table, we also enjoyed the shrimp linguine, the lobster pappardelle, the soup of the day, a Caesar salad, & the escargots Bourguignonne. Every dish was beautifully prepared. The seafood was fresh & flavorful, the portions were generous without being excessive, the soup was delicious, the Caesar salad was crisp & well-balanced, & the escargots were a timeless classic executed flawlessly.
What truly stood out was the pace of the evening. The service was smooth, relaxed, & never rushed, allowing us to fully enjoy both the food & the company.
Restaurant Café Lazio is one of those rare places you almost hesitate to recommend because you want to keep it a secret. It's a true hidden gem in a small town, & after this dinner, I can confidently say it ranks among the very best Italian restaurants on Montreal's South Shore.
Yes, it may cost a little more than the large chain restaurants or many of the Italian establishments you'll find at Dix30, but the difference in quality, freshness, atmosphere, & service more than justifies the price. Every dollar feels well spent.

Je tiens à partager notre expérience incroyable au restaurant Café Lazio pour célébrer le 40ème anniversaire de mariage de mes parents, où nous étions un groupe de 32 personnes. Dès notre arrivée, le personnel nous a accueillis avec un sourire chaleureux, ce qui a instantanément créé une atmosphère conviviale & festive pour cet événement surprise pour nos chers parents.
Le service était impeccable. Les serveurs étaient attentifs & très professionnels, s'assurant que chaque détail était pris en compte tout au long de la soirée. Ils ont su répondre à toutes nos demandes avec efficacité & gentillesse, rendant notre expérience vraiment mémorable. Les plats étaient délicieux, généreux & présenté avec soin.

La qualité de la bouffe exceptionnelle un petit trou normand entre l'entrée & le plat principal.
Service impeccable.
Resto pour environ 35 personnes & quelques tables sont malheureusement un peu serrées.

Love, love. Small, cozy charming restaurant. Staff are kind & attentive. The food is excellent. Every dish is freshly made . The restroom is very cute & clean. I highly recommend Café Lazio ❤️❤️
Très petit restaurant "apportez votre vin" intime avec petite terrasse ensoleillé, excellent service & bonne nourriture. J'ai commandé une assiette d'escargots gratinés, une soupe, le repas du jour qui était des côtelettes d'agneau avec pâtes, brocoli & patates & j'ai terminé avec un café affogato (café à la crème glacée). De mémoire ça m'a coûté environ 95$, les portions étaient parfaite j'ai songé à demander qu'on me prépare une assiette pour apportez puisque j'étais plein avant la fin de mon repas principal. J'ai visité un dimanche soir vers 17h,c'était tranquille, à mon arrivée il n'y avait que deux clients mais quelques tables étaient réservées, plusieurs clients sont arrivés vers 18h.
Mon restaurant favori! Tout est délicieux, frais, copieux & de qualité. Nos préférés, quoique tout est excellent: au déjeuner la tartine Lazio ou le Franks, lunch une bonne soupe & un panini, au souper les crevettes au pastis un incontournable, l'agneau est EXCELLENT tout comme l'inspiration du chef. & n'oubliez pas leur cafés! Le seul bémol est qu'il n'est ouvert que les soirs du jeudi au dimanche, ainsi que le jour le week-end. Donc je dois patienter lors des congés. C'est un apportez votre vin en plus!
