The atmosphere of the cafe is very nice: very cute interior, very cozy. Their natas are also very tasty! Their tea lattes, however, are very lackluster...their chaï latte is a teabag in hot milk for $6.25, which is expensive & not very tasty for a drink made without a proper tea latte mix...drinks were a bit disappointing, but everything else was quite nice 👍🏽
Quel parfait café pour une journée tempête avec ces grandes belles devantures vitrées. Excellent café, personnels très souriants & ouverture à l'heure. Merci beaucoup.
Looking for a new cafe around the Beaubien metro & found a cafe that's still open on Dec 31 before New Year's Eve. The cafe architecture combines the modern & the industrial designs with a very high ceiling, making the cafe look cozy & spacious. The atmosphere also feels relaxing & good to do some works or study in the cafe too. The barista also friendly & helpful. The latte taste strong & delicious. I discovered later that usually, some cafes are using light coffee beans. But in here, they use a dark coffee beans, which is much more stronger & what i also prefer too. I can consider to come here again if i pass by this area in the future.
We came to Cafe Chiado this morning (Monday) because Google Maps says you open at 7:30, but at 7:45 it was still closed. No sign, no update to the opening hours, & it was -15°C outside. Two other people also showed up & left disappointed. It feels really disrespectful to customers not to update your hours if you're going to be closed.

Great atmosphere to study! Spent almost a full day there studying. Frédéric the barista was extremely nice & helpful about the vegetarian options! I will definitely go again & I 100% recommend this little café for anyone looking a cute & calm study spot with good food, great drinks & nice staff!
Most cafes I've been to in the area usually have a lot of light roasts, this place seems to lean more towards dark which is what I prefer. Great coffee & cool little spot, food is serviceable if you're in a pinch.
Très beau café, chaleureux & accueillant ! L'ambiance est parfaite pour étudier ou juste relaxer, il y a pas mal de place autant en haut qu'en bas. Le service était super sympa, le personnel souriant. J'ai pris un croissant aux oeufs, vraiment délicieux & un cappuccino bien équilibré. Endroit propre, calme & bien décoré. Franchement, un super spot à découvrir à Montréal !
Lors de ma premiere visite ...j ai adore ..tres beau decor ...service impeccable ...le café est excellent ....& le croissant suculentas...je recommande tres fortement cet endroit...
Très cool café! Je suis venue une journée de pluie intense & je me suis tout de suite sentie réconfortée. Grandes tables pour étudier pendant les finaux ainsi que petites tables. 2 étages & ambiance sympa.
Shoutout à la barista pour sa playlist d'enfer. Un petit truc: le chai latté n'est pas le meilleur (pas assez goût chai selon moi). Allez-y!!
Petit café de quartier très agréable ! Pourquoi 3/5? La propreté laisse à désirer surtout le deuxième étage. Fil araignée très visible sur les cadres, poussière sous les tabourets de bois (la table du coin au 2ieme). L'escalier ne semblait pas avoir été nettoyé depuis un moment. De plus ma tasse était clairement ébréché il n'y avait même plus de peinture. Les étudiants qui sont seul (qui prenent une table de 4 ) & qui s'y instale pendant des heures est un peu agaçant.
Des petits détails facile à régler qui rendrait l'expérience client plus agréable...mais au moins leur café est excellent Obrigado!

Overall it's a very nice cafe if you are looking for a spot to study at or simply go with a friend an talk. It's two floors which kinda cool you don't see that often with cafes. Food was great, vibe as well the only thing for me was the coffee. It seems like they use a darker roast for their coffee it was quite acidic & not that good when I tried it. Maybe they gave me a bad shot but as a fellow barista there is definitely room for improvement.
