Highly recommend their chicken quesadilla supreme & enchilada with salsa verde. Their sides, rice with beans & salad are super good too.

Came in for a quiet lunch on a weekday. The place looks alright, nothing spectacular but not bland either. Service is good enough. But the food just did not impress me. My burrito just lacked punch to the flavour. Maybe some seasoning for the chicken or even some cheese would have gone a long way. Especially considering this came up to $20 with tax & tip. This place is not bad but nothing about it makes me want to return either.

I mainly only had the drinks here. The tequila shots are very reasonably priced & we were offered a higher quality alcohol for the same price when the bottle we had been drinking ran out. The chips & salsa were disgusting. The salsa tasted of literal vomit & the chips were tasteless. The guacamole was slightly better, but only just.

I always enjoy Mexican food. Of course each place varies in quality but otherwise never disappoints. This cafe Cantina was awesome! The wait might be a little long depending on staff & if it's very busy but it's worth the wait for sure! My burrito was quite hefty & very good! I hope to return again soon. Friendly owner too. Works hard. 😎👍

On a dîné pour notre dernier soir à Montréal au café Cantina notre fils avait ce jour là 17 ans. Je pense qu'il s'en souviendra longtemps il a adoré & nous aussi d'ailleurs. Tout était parfait. N'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter ou y faire un détour si vous séjournez à Montréal, & que vous souhaitez manger Mexicain. J'imagine que les locaux connaissent bien cette adresse sinon je leur suggère d'y aller.

Cafe Cantina is a true gem! The ambiance is warm, the food is delicious, & the service is exceptional. I visited on Valentine's Day & enjoyed the scrumptious enchiladas, delightful margaritas, & the vibrant atmosphere with beautiful murals. It was a fantastic experience! Le Café Cantina est une vraie pépite ! L'ambiance est chaleureuse, la cuisine est délicieuse & le service est exceptionnel. Je suis allé là-bas pour la Saint-Valentin & j'ai savouré les délicieuses enchiladas, les margaritas délicieuses & l'atmosphère vibrante avec de magnifiques fresques murales. Ce fut une expérience fantastique !

Restaurant Wow ! Cool à souhait, très bon, frais & généreux. Les plats sont frais, copieux, goûteux avec une ambiance low key. La margarita est à 6$ de 5 à 7 & elle est divine... what's else ?

Food was delicious & fresh! Got the enchiladas mix vege & quesadillas mix vege. Ambiance was perfect, very cute spot, the music wasn't too loud as well which is hard to find. Service was fast & nice too. They are also having an event on Feb 14th dancing & live music. Lots of vegetarian options too.

Nice! Got their own take on things but in general in a good way (pretty spicy carnitas for example). The chicken taco was something of a watery, tasteless, disappointment but all other things was nice

If you eat there, the wait can be a little long, during lunch time.
I've ordered take out for 2 during supper time & was out in 8 minutes.
I've only had the veggie burrito everytime I went, & I really enjoy it. My husband takes the chicken or beef one & likes it as well. We go every 3 months or so.
I'd say, it's a hit or miss on the nachos really, depending if you get the bottom of the baril, or a fresh new batch.
Some can say the rice is a little dry, well it kind of is a bit, but it tastes good in my burrito. Expect to pay about $14 per person tops for your meal if you are not taking any entree or drink.
