Amazing breakfast food. The cortado was perfect. The full breakfast was sublime, as was the Iranian breakfast my friend had - walnuts, honey, marmalade, cheese veg,….
The little bread triangles with both meals were so good & plentiful. The full breakfast came with a lentil soup this was out of this world, as were the amazing potato wedges. Huge servings, that I saw another table share.
Small cozy place, where you may have to share a table - even better. The patrons were so happy & friendly, just like the smiling staff.
Will be back, asap as it is close to where I stay.

the Persian Fog (Brouilliard Perse) was an amazing beverage, a must try - never had anything like it.

The decor inside is really cute & specially curated. It's a little small of a space, perfect for groups of 2-3, but maybe not much more.

Arrive early or make a reservation! We got there right after opening at 10am on a saturday & managed to get one of three unreserved spots

The omelette de montagne was amazing, but all of the food looked so good. About $25-30 per person for breakfast + a drink

As other comments have said, the café has a good vibe & products are of good quality. However, prices are very expensive for what it is (e.g., the iranian breakfast is $16 or so when there's 2 slices of cheese, some honey & a few slices of bread & veggies, & cappucino is $7). You can't use laptops on all tables so ask your waiter first!

Highly recommend breakfast at Aunja! I had the vegetable omelette with cheese (extra charge) & it was delicious. My first time trying Iranian bread & it did not disappoint. The flat white was top notch as well. I gave four stars because the service was slow, but that's because they were absolutely slammed (& I see why!).

Cafe aunja
This place left a permanent mark on my soul! Loved the all Persian breakfast here. The two ladies working there, make a huge effort to tend to their guests.
The omelet & the drinks are absolutely amazing! We went in a party of 8 people so we got to try many drinks. SO good! I will look for this place to go back multiple times on my next visit!

Small, intimate breakfast lunch spot. Great for a real twist on the classic breakfast with a mideastern flare. Veggies were fresh & crisp, flavors bright. A real find.

Great food all around. Breakfast & lunch are absolutely amazing! The beverages have a lovely, rich flavor that really hits the spot.
Can get quite busy, so you might not find a spot where to seat.

Went here with a group with a reservation for 9am which is when this cafe opens. The reserved table didn't have enough chairs. We had to go up to the counter to order & prepay. Food was then brought to our table. I ordered a big pot of tea to share. Others received their meals but I had to go up to the counter to ask for the tea pot after more than 10 minutes. I was then told that they were waiting for the tea to steep. I told them that I didn't like strong tea. Once the tea pot was brought to our table, I had to go up to ask for milk, spoons. The milk container was tiny so I had to go up again to ask for more. When I went up another time to ask for more water to dilute the strong tea, the server made a face like I was being difficult. This teapot cost $15 which I think is too expensive for just some tea leaves & hot water & poor service. Also, I had ordered peach blossom & English Breakfast tea but my tea had what looked like rosebuds in it so not sure that I received the correct order. We had brought the 2 glass containers of teas that we wanted up to the counter.

The breakfast omelets looked good if a little expensive.
My friend paid over $30 for an omelet & a latte.

I find it strange that a place that serves breakfast would only open at 9am in Downtown Montreal.

The cafe itself was comfortable & had a nice view of a small courtyard. There seemed to be some regulars that don't mind paying the high prices.
