I was disappointed with my experience at Cabanas. I ordered take out & when I got home I realized that the restaurant had forgotten one of my pupusas, & no one mentioned it when they handed the order to me. Maybe double-checking orders before handing them out would help avoid this.
The pupusas I did receive were a bit bland. I also
ordered chicharron as an appetizer, but it lacked flavor & was pretty underwhelming. The yuca was extremely oily & seemed old, like it hadn't been freshly prepared.
Overall, the missing item & the food quality made the experience frustrating. I hope they improve their quality control & communication with customers in the future.
Went here at the recommendation of a colleague. Wow! Amazing food with hearty portions; I ordered a bunch of food & now have leftovers for lunch because I didn't realize the portions were so big. I spoke franglais with a waiter. The staff are friendly, kind, & generous. I took the food home with me; they gave me huge portions of sauce (almost too much?!) & a big salad as well.
I can't wait to try more food on their menu!

¡Wow, wow! Me encanta venir aquí, todo es delicioso y el ambiente es muy cálido y acogedor. Cada vez que vengo no quiero irme y ya estoy pensando en regresar al día siguiente. Es un restaurante lleno de vida, con un servicio increíble. Julisa ofrece una atención excelente y Elizabeth también, ¡wow, las adoro! Siempre vuelvo y definitivamente seguiré regresando.
On a célébrer le 18 ans de mon fils avec toute la famille! On nous a accueilli très chaleureusement, le service a été super! Les Pupusas excellentes! On a couper le gâteau d'anniversaire la propriétaire a mis las mananitas en ramenant le gâteau avec les bougies allumés! Je recommande las Cabanas pour profiter de la gastronomie salvadorienne à MTL!
Muy buen restaurante familiar, con una variedad enorme de pupusas, platillos salvadorenos y de otros países de Latam. Sin duda alguna, las mejores pupusas que he probado. Y sobre todo, super servicio.

My family & I had a great experience at Cabanas. The food was amazing, with very generous portions, the service was very welcoming, & the atmosphere was both cozy & lively, with all the beautiful Salvadorena decorations. That, plus the tequila shots at the end of the meal made me feel I was visiting El Salvador! Definitely coming back at the next opportunity! Just keep in mind that it is cash only, but they have an ATM machine at the spot.
