Super tasty food, great service, & a fun atmosphere & staff. My wife & I visited from the US & were unsure what to order, but the staff gave us some great food & drink recommendations. Would recommend to anyone visiting Montreal.

Un dîner parfait au coeur du Vieux-Montréal chez Buvette Nicole, dans un magnifique cadre historique à l'ambiance bistrot parisienne à la fois chic & intimiste. Un immense merci à Adam, notre serveur, dont le service a été d'une attention remarquable, avec des conseils avisés sur les plats & les vins, alliant professionnalisme & chaleur humaine - il est aussi formidable avec les enfants, ce qui a été un vrai plaisir pour toute la famille. Côté assiette, la cuisine française est savoureuse & authentique, avec des produits frais & des saveurs parfaitement maîtrisées - nous avons adoré le tartare de boeuf à l'aïoli à la truffe, le poulpe grillé & le cheesecake déconstruit au dulce de leche. Une expérience inoubliable que je recommande chaudement à tous les amateurs de bonne cuisine à Montréal.

My husband & I dined in for brunch today. The food was amazing. We ordered the smoked salmon bagel , French toast (pain perdu). The two blew me away. The fried capers & bits of caviar & radish on top of the bagel were the perfect touch. & the bread for the French toast was so soft & delicious topped with fresh Chantilly. Adam was a wonderful waiter & very friendly & attentive. Great place

Loved our experience at Nicole! We stopped by for casual drinks with friends & shared the octopus, tuna, & fries…everything was delicious. We sat at the bar, & the bartender was amazing. We seriously need someone like him in Toronto… although I don't think he'd want to leave! 😂 The music, atmosphere, & vibe were perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect! We are from California & just kept coming back night after night - it's very difficult to find a restaurant that consistently delivers the quality of Nicole :)

Amazing bartender Olivier, beautiful space, excellent food coming out of the kitchen, with just the right amount of ambiance & life in the front of the house. This is one of the main reasons we come to top tier cities; sophisticated evenings at well run establishments with a genuine & professional staff -- making us feel honored & completely at home. Well done!

Highest marks for Olivier who not only performs his job with grace & skill, but also delivers real excellence in cocktail mixology - you can say'a fantastic mocktail please, not too sweet with some nod to local ingredients' & wait for something astounding to appear; not kidding. My wife makes her own amaro at home; I know what I'm talking about.

He delivers the same for high octane traditional cocktails; great mouth feel & balance - he made the best Old Fashioned I've ever had(!). Also for everything else behind the bar. Olivier makes you feel like you are the only guest that matters as he juggles the demands of everyone without seeming to break a sweat. He makes it look easy; it is not easy.

Dropped in for a late eveningeal at the bar. Had the burger. Wasn't disappointed. Friendly service, even stood out by Canadian standards. Highly recommend.
