After years of experience with this location, & being the SME of ayce, I would like to drop a fair review here, which also respond to a lot of reasonable negative reviews here.
First, let me start by saying that, there is no better buffet in Quebec. This is also not competing with those top Chinese buffet in Toronto. If you bring kids under 12, this buffet is REALLY CHEAP. There is a reason for the crazy line ups. The value is high.
For years, this restaurant has been cursed with the MALPRACTICE of embedding tips into the price without notice, it then asks for tips which fraudulently make customers double tip. Came back to visit last week, went twice & it seems they don't do that anymore after we did the math. However, like with the previous malpractice, there is absolutely no sign no mention about them rectifying it, so im sure lots of locals may continue to not tip anymore. But kudos to the restaurant for stopping the cheat.
Secondly, it is true that the service is lacking, until today. Any other decent buffet I've been in, my used plates would be removed when I leave the table. You'd be lucky if they ever come to clear. At this last visit, I asked to clear, he came to clear half only then disappeared. We gave up. Similarly with water refills, buffets are usually quick at it, not just for good service, but also to get clients full faster to save $$. Here you need to put conscious effort for water. But honestly, if they hire more, your bill will go up as well, then you will also complain more.
On the other hand, people forget that this is an affordable buffet (especially if you bring kids), there is really nothing more to ask from the restaurant besides the basics mentioned above.
Sure we need to pay ahead, so what? It is not uncommon on this planet. You know how convenient that is when you want to leave? You just leave, no time wasted on finding the bill & payment process. & guess what you can also easily skip the tips, not that I encourage. They already dont have enough people to serve, let's embrace their efficient payment way, so you dont have to wait more.
The food is great, i dont know what others are talking about. This is a quebec style buffet, remember. Check out the poutine, I bet you've never seen that much cheese curd at a buffet, they didnt cheap out. The stations of meat-carving for like smoked meat, steak, pork etc...they are generally great. (Inconsistent quality, but if 85 items are good out of 100, it is a good buffet, lets be reasonable). The pizza, salmon, wings, fried chicken, mussels, rings, veggies, pastas, quesadillas, etc are all amazing. Always filled up promtly until past 8pm. The dessert is a bit lacking, but arguably meet the minimum expectations. The Asian stuff like sushi & noodle station SUCK big time, but this is Quebec style, focus on the great 90%!
For our old local Brossardians, remember New Port & Vichy? This restaurant is the super saiyan version of them, all the old nostalgic selections have been retained. There is no better around.
Anyway, I just felt like giving it a fair comment, it is not perfect, but it is the best in quebec for its kind, & per dollar value.
We waited almost 40 minutes just to get in, & the buffet was absolutely not worth the wait.
The food selection was quite average, & the sushi selection was especially disappointing very limited for a buffet of this size.
The restaurant is extremely crowded, with a huge dining room that feels noisy & chaotic.
The service was poor. I ordered hot tea & was given a cup with a tea bag, but no one ever came back to offer a refill or check on us. My son never even received the drink he ordered.
Overall, this place did not live up to the hype. There are much better buffet restaurants in the area. I would not recommend it.

I absolutely love this place. This wasn't my first time at Buffet des Continents in Brossard, but it was my first time going for brunch, & honestly it was a great experience as always.
There's always a lot of people, but the restaurant is so big that even if there's a line, you usually don't have to wait too long. Yesterday we did end up waiting about an hour, but honestly that wasn't surprising at all since it was Mother's Day… & we were also a group of 12 people!
The food is always delicious, & obviously there's a huge variety of options. Like the name says, they have food from different parts of the world. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger stomach because I always leave wanting to try more things, but there's only so much food I can fit 😂
Even though it's a buffet, I think it's important to serve yourself carefully because wasting food isn't nice. I personally like going in rounds & taking small portions of the things I enjoy as I keep exploring the buffet.
Yesterday I had some wontons with a peanut sauce that were AMAZING. I also ate General Tao, cucumber & avocado sushi (I don't eat seafood), & a vegetable soup that was honestly delicious.
I really don't have anything bad to say. The staff is always friendly & attentive. They constantly come by to refill your water & remove plates you're no longer using.
The only little thing I don't love is the ice cream 😅 Even though it's supposed to be different flavors, somehow it always tastes the same to me haha.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you enjoy buffets & want a lot of variety.
Great place. Our first time back since before the 2020 lockdown nightmare. We waited about 15 minutes in line before getting a seat. Everyone has to wash their hands before being seated which was slightly reassuring. The food selection is really varied. There is something for everyone to enjoy. The food all seemed fresh & the bins were never empty for more than a couple minutes. Some of the selections were a bit too salty for my taste, but that isn't a deal breaker. My favorites had to be the Greek style pork fillets, the frog legs, & the cheesy garlic bread. The dessert selection was just as satisfying. Kids 12 & under eat free (1 free kid per adult) but you need to bring your child's Medicare card as proof of age.
We spent about $150 for 2 adults, 1 teen, & 1 kid under 12 for free. We didn't get drinks or coffees. Expect a noisy experience with that many people in one space. Lots of kids screaming, some birthday songs coming from different tables, & the food area was a bit crowded at the more popular selections like the sushi or ice cream bar.
I went on a Sunday evening for the open buffet. I showed up 40 minutes before opening & the line-up was already full up to the street & another huge side line-up from the left side until the other side door of the mall. This is how crowded & popular this buffet restaurant is. In total it took me roughly an hour wait until i finally got in & got a table. Payment is always advanced. I think they do this cause they lately used to witness a lot of eat & run-away cases. So i guess now they make everyone pay in advance. Menus & food were very good & fresh & delicious. Sushis were well prepared & in great quantity. The smoked & grilled meat sections also were very good. The sea food menus (shrimps, crab legs & black small sea oysters) were good however the crab legs were small a bit & not fresh & i noticed crab legs were very very salty. crab legs used to be better than that. Other than that, they have 3 kinds of pizzas, also chicken breasts & rice was good. french fries were good also. You get for every dollar you spent there, I really enjoyed my time there, I stayed for roughly an hour & a half once inside. I ate 7 full plates + another dessert plate, I was so full. Prepare yourself to spend at least 2 to 3 hours there between line-up waiting & eating inside. But in overall, it's a great experience. I found the entrance ticket (40$ + taxes/person ) a bit expensive overall but you really get to enjoy your time especially if you show up with family & kids. I had wonderful experience. Atmosphere is great, place is very clean, menus are fresh, delicious & always buffet is very clean. I totally recommend this place especially for young & small families. A great place to go out on week-ends.
A lot of variety of meat, seafood, sushi, soup pho noodles, pasta, pizza, dessert, salad, & fried stuff, they have steak, rosbif, smoked meat, chicken, roasted porc, its a lot of meat, if you go on a monday or tuesday, you have less wait than if you go thursday, friday, Saturday. I recommend you try at least once :)
Kids friendly & family friendly. Its more high class than vichy & lastanza. But have as much & even more food than them. I surprisingly find it a nice place to go, & price is affordable. & for a buffet, its much more affordable than jardin de seoul, korean bbq grill, hot pot, sushi bar close by etc.
Buffet Des Continents truly impressed me with the amazing variety of dishes from so many different countries. There are plenty of halal chicken & beef options , which I really appreciated-just make sure you don't accidentally grab the frog legs thinking they're tiny chicken pieces 😄.
The place is budget-friendly, & the staff is very warm & welcoming. I loved the sushi & live steak station where you can have your steak cooked just the way you like it. The desserts & salads were excellent, & the fish dishes were surprisingly good too.
Overall, a great dining experience with something for everyone. Highly recommended!
