This is a must try restaurant.

We were exploring old Montreal, & honestly just looking for lunch & a watercloset ha! But what an awesome surprise , staff were sooo very accomidating even though the extent of our French was nervously mumbling je ne comprand pas francais (still not sure) but what an experience we had ! The fish was battered & fried to perfection. The chips were fantastic & perfectly cooked golden brown. You can tell they watch their oil temps & times closely & you can taste it too! Service was fast & with a smile. Also the restaurant is beautiful & CLEAN it's a great space providing a fast friendly & delicious dining experience. It was very easy to see how much the staff & management cared. This visit was not planned but it may be my favorite meal of our trip!

Super fish & chips au saumon avec panure à la bière stout! Avec supplément poutine pour 5 dollars. Serveuse très sympa!!! Cadre atypique. Repas très bon rapport-qualité prix!!

Malgré les bonnes revues je trouve le poisson très graisseux & pas du tout authentique. Surprenant qu'Il sert même par du flétan le poisson traditionnel pour le poisson & frite Anglaise. J'etais très dessus car je m'attendais du type de poisson & frite que j'ai dégustés en Angletaire. Bon: oui. Authentique: non.

We had the Cod Burger & Haddock. Both were delicious. Had to have a dandelion & burdock drink as well. Service was friendly & quick.

Expérience ambivalente dans l'ensemble mais je ne reviendrais pas pour manger sur place, peut-être pour une commande à emporter.

Points positifs:

- Le poisson est savoureux, tendre & semble frais. La sauce tartare est également très savoureuse. J'ai apprécié la proposition culinaire.
- Plusieurs options au menu pour ce type d'établissement

Points à améliorer:

- Le décors serait à rafraîchir (surtout la section avec les tabourets surélevés). Ce n'est pas invitant du tout. On n'a pas envie de consommer sur place. Je m'attendais à une expérience beaucoup plus empreinte de la culture anglo-saxonne.
- Il serait bien de cultiver une ambiance plus britannique pour ajouter au concept. De la musique Reggaeton dans un restaurant britannique. Honnêtement?
- Les employés sont polis mais trop occupés à discuter entre eux pour se soucier des clients. & pourquoi un service aux tables? Honnêtement, dans un endroit comme celui-ci, c'est inutile. Surtout celui offert ici. On devrait juste pouvoir commander au comptoir & aller manger'en salle'.
- Les frites sont correctes, sans plus. Elles semblaient avoir été faite dans de l'huile âgée.
- Un des cuisiniers est revenu de sa pause cigarette à l'extérieur & ne s'est pas lavé les mains avant de retourner à son poste.
- Mon verre d'eau avait encore des traces de rouge à lèvres.

Was pleasantly surprised to find a British style chippie in Montreal. I had a tasty fish supper with a local craft brewery beer. I was especially surprised to see that they served a very Scottish beverage - Irn Bru!

Never left a review until now but this was my go to spot for fish n chips in Montreal. Used to go twice a month & still talk about it to this day. Great batter & fries, imported sodas from the UK & one of only spots I found curry gravy in Canada. The service is very good each time I went!

DELISH! Cute little fish & chips place. Half of the space is counter, bar height seating & the back half are small tables. Ordered the cod with chips & tamarind fried shrimp along with a pint of beer. All were delicious! I devoured it all. Casual, easy, fun, & tasty!
