I visited for the first time yesterday, on my birthday, after hearing that the bakery offers a tart for customer's birthdays. I thought it would be a nice way to discover the bakery & start the day.

When I arrived around 7 a.m., everything looked absolutely delicious. A young employee greeted me, & I mentioned that I had heard there was a birthday offer. Her response was simply,'Comme quoi?' Since I wasn't entirely sure of the details, I said I thought it was a tart. She checked, asked for my name, & I explained that I didn't have a membership account. She then giggled & smirked while telling me that a membership was required. I said that was fine & that I would sign up, only to be told they don't have any cards.

What disappointed me wasn't that I wasn't eligible for the offer, but the way the interaction was handled. If there are conditions attached to promotions, employees should simply explain them politely & help customers understand the process. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable & belittled.

It was my birthday, & while I certainly wasn't expecting special treatment, a simple'Happy Birthday' & a kind explanation of the requirements would have gone a long way. I had every intention of purchasing items regardless of the promotion, & I imagine many customers who come in are planning to buy something whether they're receiving a birthday treat or not.

Wanting to give the bakery another chance, I visited the Dix30 location instead, where the staff kindly explained the conditions of the offer. I still purchased a tart, some Bulles d'Ange, & a chocolate croissant, all of which were excellent!

The products are wonderful, which is why this interaction was so disappointing. A little warmth & kindness cost nothing, & they can make a first-time customer feel genuinely welcome.

Je tiens à exprimer mon mécontentement suite à ma visite à la boulangerie Ange de Greenfield Park. J'ai insisté pour avoir mon café servi dans une tasse, mais on me l'a donné dans un gobelet en carton. De plus, le service était vraiment lent. Cependant, je reconnais que les viennoiseries & les pâtisseries étaient délicieuses. J'espère que vous pourrez améliorer ces aspects pour vos prochaines visites.

J'ai pris une chocolatine ce matin à l'ouverture 7h, & elle avait l'air d'un croissant de la veille. J'étais très déçue car dans les autres boulangeries Ange la qualité est toujours au rendez-vous. J'ai même des maux de ventre.

Disapointed in the Bulle d'ange I bought. There was no filling it. I am sad & will not return. I would recommend to double check your pastries before leaving.
