Freshness is not part of the game no more (not like 20 years ago). Back in the days it was fresh made on demand. Now it's insanely expensive & never fresh. For the price you pay it should be baked on the spot just as back in the days.
My recent visit, manouche were nicely fresh (all 6 of them). I came in very early, counters were all empty. I had to ask for the manouche, the lady picked them out the back kitchen. Is just sad to see no improvement. Still serving cold knafe heated up without the ka'ak bread. I rate this place in the lowest tier of all arab pastry in town. Lower than that they went bankrupt already
They offer a variety of Arabic (Mediterranean) foods & fresh pita bread. It is a store not a restaurant.
Andalos Restaurant & Bakery in Montreal is an absolute gem. The food is incredibly fresh & full of authentic flavors, especially the baked goods, which are always perfectly made & delicious. You can really taste the quality & care in every bite.
The service is friendly & welcoming, & the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite, fresh bread, or a full meal, Andalos never disappoints. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Middle Eastern food in Montreal!
Best pita in montreal. Lesbian style pita bread with cheese.. throw one in the oven for some late night munchies & roll it up come uno tutsi roll & say goodnight to the bad guy. The kafta very very nice they cook it feom scratch, very good spot
Andalos is a true delight for anyone who loves authentic Lebanese cuisine & baked goods! I recently visited & was blown away by their incredible selection. The thyme manouché (zaatar) was perfectly tangy & aromatic, with just the right balance of herbs & crispy dough. The cheese manouché was a cheesy, golden masterpiece-pure comfort in every bite. Their freshly baked pita bread is soft, fluffy, & pairs wonderfully with any meal. & don't get me started on the desserts! The baklavas were flaky, sweet, & packed with nutty goodness, while the knefeh was an absolute treat with its gooey, syrupy perfection. The mini maamoul & petit fours were the perfect bite-sized indulgences, bursting with flavor. The staff is warm & welcoming, & the atmosphere feels like a little slice of Lebanon in Montreal. Whether you're grabbing a quick manouché or treating yourself to their sweets, Andalos is a must-visit. I can't wait to return!
Quality is great. I usually order the zaatar break & the zaatar bread with cheese. Amazing!
