At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
BOSSA Prêt à manger is described by reviewers as offering some of the best Italian sandwiches in Montreal and Verdun, with huge, generously filled subs that showcase high quality ingredients like prosciutto, mortadella, porchetta and chicken parm, and desserts such as cannoli and bomboloni that many crave. The vibe is authentic and neighborhood, with a friendly and efficient staff that helps despite the place being crowded and fast paced. Long lines and limited seating are common, and wait times can be noticeable during peaks or for takeout, though many think the payoff is worth it. Bread quality is frequently praised, though a few reviews note inconsistencies or changes over time. In addition to sandwiches, the shop’s Italian groceries and prepared items add to the appeal. Overall, BOSSA Prêt à manger is viewed as a must visit for substantial, tasty sandwiches and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, even if the crowds and occasional service hiccups temper the experience.

Went in & bought a few sandwiches to go plus coffee, I asked first if the sandwiches came in boxes (bc I saw boxes behind them & thought each came in a box) & if they could separate the sandwiches as I was buying for different people but they said they couldn't give boxes, they were running low, just wrapped, so I said ok no problem. When the sandwiches were ready I asked if I could please get a bag as I have to carry them plus the coffee & then another employee with MAJOR attitude says no, we can't, we need them & can't give out, meanwhile all the Uber Eats & DoorDash picking up their orders in bags. Last I checked you make more money from walk in customers vs delivery & I could use a bag to transport the sandwiches I just bought. But the attitude was the worst, so dismissive as if I was asking for gold. I understand bags & things can run low, but there are much better ways to say it, & understand I'm trying to transport what I just purchased & not wanting to drop them.
So yes, sandwiches are good BUT not the only player in town by far, never going back, terrible first impression when buying a few sandwiches at almost $20 each.
Next time I'll try a different sandwich & there are many to choose from. I like simple sandwiches, not into creamy or saucy or mooshy...which depicts the porchetta perfectly. If that's what you like you'll love that sandwich. The caramelized onions overly dominated the other ingredients. I found the sandwich to slimy, both the kick from the peppers & the pork flavours undetectable. The bread was the best part of the sandwich... Liked the bread so much that I'm willing to try one of their other sandwiches.
Ambiente scomodo, personale sgarbato, focaccia servita ghiacciata.
Molto marketing e poca sostanza.
Leggo recensioni entusiaste, forse sono stato sfortunato
Loved the chicken parm & cheese steak sandwiches. The tiramisu is very good as well. I just wasn't a huge fan of the cheese arancini but everything else was good.
Les sandwiches du Bossa sont à essayer au moins une fois dans sa vie !! C'est incroyablement délicieux ! Le lieu est un peu petit donc ce n'est pas facile de manger sur place.
