Best italian food I've ever had in North America period. Even compared to Italy it's a tough battle. We went to Sicily for our honeymoon for 10 days & we thought the pasta is better at Bona Fide. Beyond the unbelievable food, the service is just fantastic & the vibe is really nice. One of our absolute favorite restaurants in Montreal.

Nice small restaurant in the neighbourhood. The staff is nice & welcoming. The appetizers were good, the salad was refreshing. The pasta was average, lacked flavour. Overall great restaurant.

What a fantastic dinner we had here. The wine suggestion was excellent, the tartare was tangy, not too heavy, & just so enjoyable to eat. The squash/brown butter pasta dish was the star of the show. Excellent service. Beautiful atmosphere. We loved the window seat so much, it's definitely the best table. Thank you!!

Bona Fide is some of the best Italian I've had in Montreal! Loved every dish I had, including a delicious tartare with caciocavello, delicata squash, sage agnolotti & duck ragu. They had a mackerel ratatouille special which tasted very homey, but also had expertly cooked crispy skin. Would be well worth another visit to taste other pasta dishes!

This restaurant has become my go-to spot.
The food is exceptional. Dishes are very well thought out, elevated (but not pretentious) , & carefully executed. Every dish has been perfect & delicious ( small bites, fresh pastas, & killer mains - I'm still talking about every single dish I ever ate here !)
The wines? Excellent - you will be blown away. Fun & funky, very special bottles. Great pairings.
The people?? Truly an amazing team who has so much passion for what they do. These are GOOD PEOPLE. Service is always perfect. They pay attention to every detail. They care.
& the vibe ? Cozy & FUN… you know you're somewhere special the minute you walk in. It's got a VIBE.

Unreal food, atmosphere, staff! We had all three pastas because we couldn't choose. Everything was delicious!! The ragu sauce was so good I asked if I could have a bowl of it to dip focaccia in, which they did & they didn't even charge me. 10/10 experience!
