We ordered the pani Puri & papri Chaat. The pani Puri was good, had good flavours & spice levels. The papri chat was was under expectations. There were no onions , just papri & sauce which wasn't even easy to eat. It was topped with loads of chutney with overpowered all the other flavours. The service was also super slow, they take a good 20 minutes before serving you any food. Good to keep in mind when visiting. Would try the main courses next time as they seem to be good
Bombay Mahal exceeded our expectations, to say the least. We had a reservation at 6:00 PM for 9 of us, & the other half of our party's vehicle died. We were already there & decided to go with takeout so we could still enjoy food with them, so we walked in & immediately the server understood our circumstances & took care of us. Our food only took about 10 minutes after ordering to be ready, & the employees were so generous & kind. Not to mention the food was delightful, even as takeout. The only negative part of the experience was not getting to eat in the restaurant, as the lighting, decor, & overall vibe was lovely & it smelled incredible in there. Tl;dr, generous helpful employees, delicious tikka & mango lassis, wonderful restaurant.
We ordered chicken chilly, & they gave us chicken gravy with chilly. According to their staff, chicken chilly & chicken gravy are the same...overall, it's was an average.
Les nans ne sont pas croustillants, mais le pire, c'est le poulet au beurre. La sauce est bonne, mais c'est du vieux poulet surgelé & même pas mijoté. Vraiment plus ce que c'était il y a 10 ans. D'ailleurs, il n'y a plus un seul Indien dans le resto. Allez plutôt en face, à la Maison du Curry
Bombay Mahal, qui conque oserait contredire les nominations afficher sur le mur... Concrètement, ce restaurant est une institution. La nourriture est impeccable. Les prix, le service rien à redire. Nous partons des Laurentides pour avoir notre dose. N'oubliez pas de traiter les avertissements de plats épicés avec sérieux car même les "pas épicés" sont souvent à la limite des néophytes. Armez-vous d'un Lassie à la mangue & un bol de riz vapeur.
À garder en tête que c'est un restaurant Indien & un point très présent: les mets épicés. Le goût des repas est très bon mais, même pour les plats identifiés comme étant peu épicés, la bouche est en feu à la fin de la soirée pour les personnes moins habituées à ce style de repas. Cela étant dit, les ingrédients semblent frais & de bonne qualité. Le pain naan fait maison est très bon. Les employés sont courtois. Le restaurant est propre. Il n'y a qu'une seule toilette pour qui désert tout le restaurant.
It used to be my favorite Indian place for many years but for the last few years it really went downhill unfortunately. The food used to be amazingly good & affordable but they became victims of their success with ever increasing prices, smaller portions & it just does not taste as good as it used to anymore. The last few times I went I have been extremely disappointed but went back hoping it was just for that time that I had a bad experience. But I don't hope for that anymore & started looking for other better places. I just miss how Bombay Mahal used to be...
