Review Summary

Bombay Mahal is widely regarded as a staple for authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine in Montreal, consistently praised for its delicious butter chicken, diverse thali platters, and excellent naan. Many patrons value the restaurant as a reliable, affordable, and family-friendly destination that provides generous portions and high-quality meals. While the atmosphere is frequently described as simple and unpretentious, leading some to prefer takeout, the overall consensus highlights the food as the main draw. Although experiences with service and consistency can occasionally vary, the dedicated staff and overall value continue to make it a popular choice for long-time customers and newcomers alike.

J'ai seulement demandé un samosa & le caissier était vraiment désagréable avec moi & le prix était exorbitant 7$ pour 1 samosa ...

I'm not used to Indian cuisine, but this place was recommended to me by a friend & I LOVED it. So much flavour in the different meals I ordered & the staff was friendly. Prices are super reasonable & don't forget to bring your own wine!

Best Indian food in Montreal in my opinion. BYOB & affordable meals. Service is subpar though, so don't expect to be wooed.

Bonne nourriture quoique beaucoup trop épicé par rapport à la cuisine traditionnelle. Service trop rapide. On ne fréquente pas le restaurant pour son ambiance.

I went with my friends to have local indian chaat & we ordered channa samosa, tikki & papri chaat. Papri chaat was way too dry & too much tangy. The same with was tikki & samosa chaat, too much tamarind sauce was added. If you wanna try these, just tell them before to add less chutney & less dry.
