The arepas are stuffed with ingredients, but overall not a large sandwich despite the heartiness. But overall I was pretty satisfied with the steak one that I got. The meat wasn't of substantial quality but passable, rest of the composition was on point. My disappointment laid in the skimpy portion of plantain, which added $6 to the price...had I know the side portion was that small I would have skipped it. But the plantain was delicious though, perfectly textured through cooking. Service was polite but slow at times. The place looks really nice too, & features a sizable back patio.
I think the arepas are smaller than before! But the service was friendly (:
Took my friends here to say goodbye to them before leaving Quebec you will always be special to me Bocadillo
The pic doesn't do it justice but the food was fantastic & when the terrasse is open it's really pleasant.
(2025) Still amazing food, slight update that I was told that Yuca fries has a small risk of cross contamination with gluten. The rest of what we ate was gluten free.
(2024) Had the Arepa with the Yuca fries (all gluten free). An unexpecting awesome combination.
Good place, good music, tasty food. But the price is just not acceptable.
56$ for two plates of arepas with 6 pieces of fried plantains & avocado crema. No drinks.
Insane pricing.
Best food ever & super good vibe. Everyone is so friendly & always good music & service. Will come back every time.
I had La Llanera with potato fries. The tender, fatty, flavourful beef & homemade cheese paired so well with the fresh avocado & tomato in the corn bread were delicious. I highly recommend trying. The fries we ordered were a little small for the basket, but the basket was quite large, & I thought that was still good value. Service was personable, friendly & attentive. Atmosphere was missing a certain something in my opinion, but no real complaints. This would be my go-to lunch place every week if the it wasn't 18$ per small-medium hamburger sized portion.
The Arepas were very flavorful & filling, especially the ones with fresh cheese. Good recommendations from the staff & friendly service too.
Nice place, the arepa pabellon special was really filling, loved the arepa & the fries were so good! They mistakenly put avocado in one of the two & had to send it back (allergy) but was quickly replaced. Maybe a bit pricey for some options but great food.
We tried the pabellon deluxe & fried plantains. The plantains were enjoyable & perfectly ripe + sweet. The arepa itself, however, was lacking a little. The meat was well marinated but no sauce to bring other flavors. I also knock a star because it was quite pricey. The green sauce they gave on the side was mayo based & less flavorful than I've had before, plus there was no hot sauce. However there was a great atmosphere! We sat in the backyard terrasse which had lots of plants & cute tables. Fun music too! @thehungry.sheep
