Once you taste the cuisine at this restaurant, you'll understand why it earned a Michelin recommendation. I planned a special surprise for my mother & reserved the romantic menu for her, knowing her love for roses. The experience was exceptional, with impeccable service that made the evening truly memorable.
Each dish was introduced with clear, thoughtful explanations, adding to the anticipation. The welcome drinks were delightful-fruity, refreshing, & perfectly balanced. The scallop dish was a standout for me; it was cooked to perfection & paired with an addictive, flavorful sauce that elevated every bite. The ravioli was equally impressive, its unique filling complemented by a rich, well-crafted sauce.
The beef fillet was another highlight-tender, succulent, & cooked to a flawless medium, just as we requested. For dessert, we were treated to a delicious creation with a harmonious sweet-sour balance that left us feeling refreshed & satisfied.
Before we left the restaurant, the staff presented us with a sweet plate.View more
What a great find! We came upon this place while wondering the narrow streets & canals of Venice. It is located prominently on a corner not too far from San Marco Sq. We didn't have reservations but were fortunate enough to get a table outside as it was a lovely evening. Service was impeccable & the food fabulous with many choices from a very well curated menu. The wine list was quite extensive & the sommelier helped to pick one out. All in all it was the perfect location & great way to spend our last night in'The Floating City'.View more
Restaurant gastronomique parfait pour un repas en amoureux.
Tout à l'air bon & repas typique de Venise avec un décoration intimiste.
Les serveurs sont au petits soins & mention spéciale à Davide qui parle français & explique très bien les plats.View more
Very good, quite expensive but definitely worth the money. Great service, amazing food. My favorite dishes were the squid tartare, the umbrine & the creme brûléeView more

To say we saved the best to last, does not serve this restaurant justice…
This was our fourth, & last evening in Venice, so I wanted somewhere special, & it did not disappoint!
The blend of location, decor, atmosphere, service, & quality is wonderful!
The knowledge, & proudly explained description of each item was superb!
Yes, it is high class, but the waiters were not in the slightest bit snooty, but very friendly & happy to share a joke!
I mentioned to the waiter that I had found it odd that the best Tiramisu I've ever had was actually in Spain, & not Italy… he politely explained that Tiramisu is always subject to interpretation… & then serves me with what was not only the best Tiramisu I've had, but the most amazing dessert, full stop!
A truly wonderful culinary experience, thank you… absolutely the correct decision to have booked for our last evening in beautiful Venezia!View more
Unfortunately, our experience at Bistrot de Venise was not what we had hoped for. The fault is entirely ours, we came across the restaurant on a blog we usually trust, & although we had some doubts, we decided to go ahead & give it a try.
It's undeniably difficult in Venice to explore something new without ending up in what feels like a classic tourist trap. While there was nothing wrong with the experience, it simply wasn't the kind of place or atmosphere we personally seek out when in Venice.
A small note for the record: tiramisù.. while a popular dessert, is not a historic dish & certainly not a Venetian one.View more
90€ entrée-plat & mocktail.View more
From our week of dining around Venice, we truly saved the best till last. We walked past Bistrot de Venice a number of times & commented how lovely it looked.
This was a true fine dining experience & the options in the 4 course tasting menu were just perfection. We were offered 3 options per course to choose from. To get the best out of it me & my partner ordered different courses (taste & to see on presentation).
The food was incredible! So much food! The photos below show the high quality food experience provided.
The service was the best we had received in Venice. The waiters were all so welcoming, offered guidance & took time to explain each course as it came out. Really great service from all the team & that didn't go unnoticed.
It was just perfect. We actually did the later dining so from 9:30pm we received 20% off our total bill. The tasting menu is around €110 per person for the 4 course menu. ❤?View more
The spaghetti with pesto sauce was delicious & cooked to perfection.🩷 The main course featured stewed ox knee, which had a large bone in the center, consisting of about half meat & half tendon. The dessert was tiramisu, which was a bit ordinary. Overall, the meal was perfect.🥰View more
Amazing dinner restaurant, didn't make a reservation but thankfully the waitress let us in after waiting for 2 minutes. The food was fantastic delicious, really recommended!View more
The ambiance was elegant, with a sophisticated décor & a cozy atmosphere. Our server Mr. was attentive, knowledgeable, & friendly.
We ordered the Lasagna & Ravioli both of which were expertly prepared & presented. The flavors were bold & well-balanced.
The standout dish for us was the Lamb which was cooked to perfection.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The quality of the food, service, & ambiance was exceptional. While it was pricey, we felt it was worth the splurge for a special occasion.'View more
This place made me feel like I ate at my grandma's table. We started with a fantastic spritz & dug into the pasta for our first course. The squid ink pasta & the goose ragout pasta were perfection on my palate. I would certainly recommend trying the squid dishes at this place. The sommelier was very helpful & guided us well on our wine selection. All in all a lovely dinner & must visit in Venice.View more
