The pork bone soup (gamjatang) is perfect for this chilly weather & warms you right up. The salmon onion is the best sushi in montreal - the crispy onion pairs well with the salmon that melts in your mouth. The side dishes are a must - the raddish in particular is an amazing palate cleanser. The yuza tea is also sweet & refreshing. I certainly found my new hidden gem in montreal!
The BEST Korean food in town!
It is a must if you visit Montreal & are starving for authentic Korean food.
All the dishes here are flawless & so delicous. All the meat & soup eating with rice are yummy. Even the sushis here are irresistable. The fried chicken are cruncy, excellent for drinking.
The owner are super friendly & nice.
I have been living in Korea for years & this really remind me of Korea.
Such a hidden gem!
My husband & I had a lovely dinner at Miga, a cozy, family-owned Korean restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes & genuinely enjoyed our meal.
The bulgogi beef stew was a standout - the broth was rich, flavorful, & slightly sweet, though a bit on the oily side. The seafood pancake was decent, & the salmon tataki made a great starter - the tangy, sour flavor really helped open the appetite. We also tried the japchae, which was delicious & well-seasoned, though also a touch too oily for my taste.
One thing I really appreciated is that the meal came with small Korean side dishes (banchan) - something many restaurants either don't offer or charge extra for. It made the experience feel more authentic & generous.
Service was excellent - quick & efficient - & our waitress was incredibly friendly & welcoming. Overall, a great experience with comforting Korean food. Would happily come back to try more from the menu!
Highly recommend this amazing place!
When you want both Korean & Japanese dishes at the same time, you have to go there!
The sushis are VERY GOOD! Easily among the top rolls I've eaten in Montreal.
The Korean food is authentic, good level of spice & good portions. The Cheese Tteokbokki is one of the best I've had.
Soy Garlic Fried Chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, full of flavor & the inside is SO juicy.
Service impeccable ❤?
Simply the tastiest korean restaurant I've been in Montreal. Finally, a true authentic korean family restaurant in montreal.
Absolutely loved Miga! The food was authentic, flavorful, & clearly made with care-every dish felt like a warm hug. The BBQ was top-notch, the side dishes were generous & delicious, & the staff were super friendly & attentive. Cozy atmosphere, great vibes-definitely coming back. Highly recommend to anyone craving real Korean food!

I visited MiGa recently & had a wonderful dining experience. We ordered the spicy stir-fried squid & pork (Osam Bulgogi), nigiri sushi, & soft tofu stew (Sundubu Jjigae).
The Osam Bulgogi was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice-it truly felt like being invited to a Korean home-cooked dinner. The nigiri, including tuna, salmon, & torched salmon belly, was excellent-honestly, on par with what you'd expect from a dedicated sushi restaurant. If I had to point out one small suggestion, I'd love to see slightly thicker & longer slices of sashimi with less rice (maybe 2/3 of the current amount). Still, the freshness of the ingredients really stood out-please keep that up!
The Sundubu Jjigae was the most disappointing dish, as the tofu itself lacked flavor. It tasted healthy, but a bit more depth would have made a difference.
Service was friendly & left a great impression. The restaurant has a warm, Korean-style ambiance, & if they continue to maintain this atmosphere & authentic flavors, I believe MiGa has a bright future ahead. It seems like it's only been open for about a month, & I truly hope they keep the same heart & spirit going forward.
I'll definitely return & would recommend it to others!
