J'ai toujours eu un bon service mais hier soir il a fallu que j'aille chercher quelqu'un à la cuisine pour nous desservi & demander si on pouvait avoir du dessert... ordinaire comme fin de service mais dans l'ensemble c'est toujours parfait

Fantastic food, great ambience! It was the third time I went to Chez Roger with my husband. We did not have a reservation, so we got the last two spots at the bar, right in front of the open kitchen. It was so pleasant to see the crew preparing all the dishes with care, efficiency & harmony. The bartender was super helpful, & not pushy at all. He was spot on. This time we did not want the main dishes, so we stuck to the entrées. The fried calamari was simply perfect: crunchy, fresh & light, with a subtle aioli. From heaven. We also ordered the salmon rillette, which came with some different black bread - made with squid ink. So good! To finish, we ordered the best beet salad I've ever had, with little goat cheese croquettes, & a grilled octopus with potato & smoked pepper. An extra kudos for the Entremetier.
