Reviews of Bis Ristorante describe a warm, cozy Italian dining spot with authentic, flavorful food and professional yet friendly service. The ambiance is frequently described as romantic and conducive to conversation, though some tables feel close and can be a bit loud at times. Dishes such as fresh pasta, risotto and seafood or meat specials are hailed as delicious and generously portioned, with many meals described as memorable and well prepared; a few critiques note overdressed salads or occasional overcooked pasta. The staff and management are consistently praised for attentiveness, hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere, contributing to a homey dining experience. The wine list and desserts are well received, supporting Bis Ristorante as a top Italian option in the city for date nights, celebrations or casual dinners alike. Some reviews mention higher prices, though most feel the quality and experience justify the cost; parking options can also be convenient. Overall, Bis Ristorante comes across as a standout for authentic Italian cuisine, warm service, and a memorable, repeatable dining experience that guests are eager to return to.
Paloma was outstanding! She looked after us with great attention to detail. She was personable, helpful, & paid a lot of attention to ensuring the pace of the meal was what we wanted. I would definitely come again, in part because the ambiance was romantic & our table was perfect, , but mostly because of the amazing Paloma!
Salads were overdressed & Parmesan crisp not crispy. Pasta & risotto were overcooked & tasted like they were reheated in microwave, not cooked for us.
Restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Should have been a hint.
Absolutely horrible! Made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner 1 month before for our trip. They called 2hrs before our reservation saying they were closed. Unacceptable! Had to scramble at the last minute to get reservations on a major holiday.

A fun restaurant before a Habs game. We were allowed to park close by & the resto gave us a voucher to cover the cost of parking. The food was generally good. Appetizers were delicious. We tried the Calamari Fritti, Salsiccia Peperonata & finally Zucchini Fritti. The main dishes we had the Ossobuco di Vitello with risotto milanese. We found the veal to be very fatty.
Also the risotto was lacking taste. The other dish we tried was the Melanzane alla Siciliana. It was very good however not very filling. Probably a good idea to have a little pasta with it.
Overall I enjoyed our dining experience.
Horrible experience. Rude manager & the food below average. Way overpriced for what you are served.
No one to greet you at the door, you just stand there waiting! & waiting!
