Located in the heart of the West Island, Birdhouse Wingerie & Bar combines homemade gourmet wing sauces with homemade traditional sauces and rubs to give the wing connoisseur mind-blowing flavours.
Of course we added our flavour twist on fried-chicken and are serving up a variety of other high-end comfort foods to become the hottest one-stop wing joint to hatch in this city! From wet & saucy wings to delicious smash burgers, BWB is the ultimate chicken-lover's paradise.
Our Specialties
Fried chicken, chicken wings, poutine, salads and burgers.
The BWB food truck takes some of the best items of our menu on the go. Obviously our legendary wings are featured on the menu. We leave it up to you to choose from our 15 mouth-watering sauces. Whether it's a company lunch or a birthday party at home, we've got you covered.
Birdhouse offers a lively, modern vibe with a wide wings menu, bold sauces, and crowd pleasing burgers that keep guests coming back. Wings are often highlighted as the standout, with huge portions and a variety of flavors that appeal to many tastes. The menu also features favorites like smash burgers, gorgonzola burgers, poutines, mac and cheese, and thoughtful gluten free and vegetarian options. The atmosphere is described as fun and energetic, with music videos on big screens and a vibe that suits dates, group dinners, and family outings. Staffing is repeatedly praised for friendliness, attentiveness, and hospitality, with many reviews noting fast service and helpful recommendations. A few comments mention loud music or occasional delays, but these are balanced by quick service, generous portions and reasonable prices. The outdoor patio is a nice touch for good weather and seating is generally comfortable. Overall Birdhouse delivers consistent quality, creative flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a go to spot in the West Island.
Very greasy chicken. The grease just dripped off the chicken. Ample portions at good price. Nice atmosphere with a big bar & large TVs small bathroom but clean. If you eat there, just be aware that the chicken is fried.
Birdhouse 🐦 is a beautiful restaurant ! It's large & spacious, modern & absolutely stunning! The service is great! The servers are young but very professional & friendly ! 😊 The food is a strong 5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! I highly recommend the fried chicken 🍗 & the buffalo mac & cheese 🧀 ! I also hear their burgers 🍔 are absolutely amazing! The prices can go from 20 to 30 dollars a person but it is worth it & the portions are quite generous ! They also have vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free & pescatarian options!! 🥰
This was indeed a wonderful first visit to Birdcage in DDO! From meeting the very congenial & hands-on owner, Lorne Schwartz, to the amazing service from Anthony C, the food, company, & ambiance were fantastic! It was surprisingly well-priced for very large portions & the cocktails (blood orange margaritas) were better than most bars downtown. The legendary WNT buffalo wings, Truckstop chicken tacos, hot & honey IPA fried chicken dinner, sinful chocolate caramel cake, & I believe the value for our marvellous experience were exemplary! We are definitely coming back...hoping to share the experience with friends & family...often...!
Loved the interior & wanted to like the food but it was just meh. I know poke is meant to be cold, but leftover cold rice is unpleasant & I've always had warm rice from other places. The tofu entrée was pretty good, fried cauliflower was mushy inside which was good but an odd texture.
Had the fried chicken sandwich. Chicken was very good, so we're the toppings & sauce. The bun was the only let down, too soft/not toasted. Fries were well seasoned but could've been more crispy.

A group of four & we shared the cacio e pepe & Carolina chicken wings & had the general Tao fried chicken along with tater tots. Absolutely incredible! We all loved it & will definitely go back. Also, in this day & age of smaller portions & rising prices, not only was the price reasonable, the portions were huge. Definitely recommend this spot
Amazing experience! The staff & service was extremely welcoming, always coming to our table to ensure we had everything we needed. Our waitress Kalia gave us great recommendations & was so nice & friendly! The manager Mathew was super accommodating & helped us chose the best sauce for our wings. Fried Chicken Cluk sandwich was my favourite with the sriracha wings.
My wings were delicious. My husband's burger was wonderful. The fried onions strings are addictive, but best of all was the service we received from our server Chelsea. She was helpful & friendly & helped make our anniversary outing memorable. We were seen by both the manager & the owner. We'll be back for sure.
The food here is incredible! Despite the fact that it's fried chicken & wings (they have other stuff on the menu), you don't feel heavy after. Nothing is oily or greasy, everything is so satisfying & clean, full of flavours. Love it! Highly recommend. The service is awesome, super friendly. The Nashville dry rub wings were my fav thing, order a side of blue cheese dip. It's made in house & totally worth it! The coleslaw is one of the best I've ever had.

Restaurant was little loud. Food was okay, but not amazing. The taste did not stand out & wasn't memorable. (ie; cauliflower tacos were well fried but mushy cauliflower inside with no punch of flavor in the taco)
I recently had a girls lunch here & the food was so delicious!!! The menu seems intimidating but wow there are so many great options! The drinks are yummy too! I devoured my meal. I highly recommend the hot honey fried chicken dinner. I've been thinking about it ever since!!! Great food, great atmosphere, excellent wait staff. Just an all in all great spot in the West Island! I can't wait to go back!
The first time I went was in December of 2022. It was for dinner. There was good atmosphere, however the music was a bit loud, forcing us to scream to hear each other. I went also recently for lunch & I ordered fried cauliflower as a starter & different types of chicken wings. The starter was good, however the chicken wings took forever to come & they were also cold. One type of the wings tasted like if it was reheated (recycled from an old batch).
First time at the restaurant.Loved everything about it.Food .service .
music ambiance was great. Just one thing for much older people can you put maybe 2 dishes on the menu that are not fried. Thank you.I would have put this on Google but I forgot my password

The service was amazing. We ordered the classic buffalo wings & the caccio & pepe wings & it was so good. The best meal was the Nashville hot fried chicken dinner. Would definitely come back!
Hello, the food was good, was abit disapointed about the general tao fried chicken because it was just sauce ontop of the chiken & not cooked in it. Bigest disapointement was my bdaay & we couldn't make a toast because we did not get our drinks not at the same time. & zero special treatment for the day of a birthday( was my exacte date of bday.
We have your food from your truck. To be honest we were disappointed in what we had. We started with the cauliflower & the edamame. The cauliflower was greasy & lacked flavour. Its a fried ball with cauliflower inside. The edamame should have been a little more cooked & seemed to miss the mark. We had noth ordered it & if not because we were hungry would have been left. We had the kale salad was a miss as went mostly uneaten by other couple. They mentioned the dressing. We each ordered the wings & should have been more cooked. It seems for wet wings there really wasn't alot of sauce. The honey spicy wings were ok but the bbq were a miss by not having much sauce on the wings. Might have been categorized as dry rub.
We've had the smash burgers before & should have gone that route.
The drinks were good & didn't stay for dessert. Sadly this missed the mark
nice gem in the west island. The restaurant decoration & atmosphere are great. The waiter (Chris) was great, nice attention to our needs & question. We had some chicken wings with the sweeter sauce. Lots of meat & not dry. Main course we had their fried chicken. Skin was crispy, the meat was tasty & moist. Very happy with experience. Will be back
