My group came into this establishment & ordered sandwiches & beverages. The first 5 got their orders then sat down. Our cashiers were very friendly. The last person to order was my boyfriend (an asian man). He waited for his order & when he got it, he asked about one of the sandwiches on the tray. The employees assured him multiple times that it was for our table. So of course he takes it to the table thinking it was one of the multiple sandwiches we ordered to share. Another asian man who happened to order the sandwich they accidentally gave us was next to my boyfriend in line. Seemed like the woman was extremely confident about it being part of my boyfriends order because the only two asian men in the restaurant must have been together 🤣 We got the sandwich snatched & the brunette in the white tshirt growled at us instead of apologizing for the mistake & remaking the sandwich. After this happened yet another employee tried to give us the sandwich. It was a miscommunication on their part.

The sandwiches were really good but the service was really not good. Not smiling & kept forgetting what we ordered asking us to repeat again & again whereas it was just two sandwiches to go.

Breakfast stop before heading back to Boston. Staff were friendly, helpful & efficient. We all had coffee & a croissant. You order at the counter before you sit down, so ordering was easy. The coffee was delicious, as were the croissants. Nice, quiet cafe, possibly due to it being early morning. Still, it had a good vibe to it & the sandwiches & fillings looked great too

Best sandwiches I've had in Montreal, & the hot food is fantastic! Great service & amazing Italian food. Definitely would recommend this gem.

Very disappointing second visit to this place.
We were there about a month ago & it was excellent!
We all ordered sandwiches & the older lady who works there, possibly one of the owners, was kind enough to make our five year old granddaughter, a tomato sandwich.
Yesterday we went back & the young girl working there refused to make the same tomato sandwich for the little one.
She said that the sandwiches were all premade.
I told her that I was aware but that last time they were able to accommodate our request. She said that she was to busy & she would only do it if we came back after the rush.
So we left & went to another sandwich place that was more than willing to satisfy the needs of a five year old.
Someone needs to give that young lady some customer service training.
It's a shame but despite the excellent food, we will not be back.

Food - 4/5 - I got the smoked meat sandwich/panini as I vowed to get a'Montreal' smoked meat sandwich on my visit. It was good. Smoked meat isnt my go to however as some of the other items sounded/looked delicious. Quote a few varieties of sandwiches to pick from. Not sure if you can customize your sandwich as they were premade.
Service - 3/5 - Service is minimal at Bello as you order at the counter & they provide you a tray for your food. Sandwich was quickly ready as it was premade & just needed to be panini pressed. I was a bit disappointed by the soda selection as multiple kinds were unavailable.
Atmosphere - I enjoyed their decor & music. Was very warm & welcoming.
Overall - I enjoyed my experience at Bello. I suggest trying them out of you are visiting Old Montreal / Old Port & want a quick sandwich.
