Going to re-edit this. I did receive food poisoning from your shop, I'll repeat that I had only a bagel that day with just butter which was early in the morning. But I got so sick hours after eating your sandwich. Please do not tell people who spend an evening as sick as I have & then spent the rest of their trip not able to eat anything but soup, that it could not be from your shop.
Got horrible food poisoning from here, ordered an Italian sausage sandwich after landing in Montreal & spent the whole night & next two days paying for it. Also the sandwich was truly awful, not even close to authentic.
I had only a bagel that day prior to eating their sandwich, & within a couple hours was horribly sick, so it was from here. The sausage was as if it wasn't cooked but I assumed it was safe & I was obviously hungry & didn't eat it till back at the hotel
A true neighborhood gem! & hands down the best sandwich spot in the area. The Bellos themselves are also the sweetest people ever & they make you feel like a regular on your first visit. I highly recommend!

Une ambiance & un accueil chaleureux. J'ai eu la chance de manger une sandwich au boeuf avec des oignons caramélisés, c'était fantastique! J'ai hâte de revenir. Félicitations à toute l'équipe.
Nice little shop - the sandwich has a generous portion size, big enough to share between two people. The sweet potato salad is fresh, & if you like American-style flavors, I'd recommend it.
Very disappointing second visit to this place.
We were there about a month ago & it was excellent!
We all ordered sandwiches & the older lady who works there, possibly one of the owners, was kind enough to make our five year old granddaughter, a tomato sandwich.
Yesterday we went back & the young girl working there refused to make the same tomato sandwich for the little one.
She said that the sandwiches were all premade.
I told her that I was aware but that last time they were able to accommodate our request. She said that she was to busy & she would only do it if we came back after the rush.
So we left & went to another sandwich place that was more than willing to satisfy the needs of a five year old.
Someone needs to give that young lady some customer service training.
It's a shame but despite the excellent food, we will not be back.

Food - 4/5 - I got the smoked meat sandwich/panini as I vowed to get a'Montreal' smoked meat sandwich on my visit. It was good. Smoked meat isnt my go to however as some of the other items sounded/looked delicious. Quote a few varieties of sandwiches to pick from. Not sure if you can customize your sandwich as they were premade.
Service - 3/5 - Service is minimal at Bello as you order at the counter & they provide you a tray for your food. Sandwich was quickly ready as it was premade & just needed to be panini pressed. I was a bit disappointed by the soda selection as multiple kinds were unavailable.
Atmosphere - I enjoyed their decor & music. Was very warm & welcoming.
Overall - I enjoyed my experience at Bello. I suggest trying them out of you are visiting Old Montreal / Old Port & want a quick sandwich.
Food is decent! Depends on the sandwich that you get some are more fresh than others! It's cool that they have salads to offer for ppl that don't want bread. However, food can be overpriced as one rosé beef sandwich will cost you 15.50$ without tipping , with tip it's 17$ for just a sandwich. The atmosphere is nice but the service isn't always the best. The older lady didn't speak to me in the nicest way & was kinda mean, as someone who also works in customer service I can understand that she may have been tired. However, it doesn't justify the bad service I received. Not sure I'd recommend going , if you need a quick meal then sure but there are better places that are cheaper & have better overall service!
Stumbled upon this place one waiting for an appointment in Old Montreal & needed some breakfast. Found out it was too late for breakfast, but they had a frittata sandwich on the menu so I ordered that. Did not realize it was going to be a panini, & it was the best surprise ever.
Looking forward to going back as soon as possible.
We went there on a cold day during the holidays as we were walking around in the Old Port, the coffee & sandwiches were great. They hit the spot & the staff was very nice & patient
We stopped for a quick lunch. It was a good choice. Great panini done in the sandwich press. Excellent espresso & cappuccino. Good service. Reasonably priced.
Great service, staff, & delicious food The bagel was nice & soft The chicken sandwich is delicious Definitely worth checking out They have some great coffee selection as well! I'll be coming back
Really nice Italian lady (she told me😃) there was so patient. I asked her what's her favorite sandwich. Let me tell ya... the steak did not disappoint. I placed it to go. All I wanted to do was taste it. 15 mins later it was all gone. I added peppers 🌶️ to mine. Thx for your hospitality & awesome sandwich & suggestions. I'll be sure to bring friends
