Caio Bello - A Little Taste of Italy in Old Montréal 🇮🇹🇫🇷

What a bella little find in Old Montréal! We stopped at Caio Bello for a quick bite & ended up having three excellent paninis & a bottle of sparkling San Pellegrino - because apparently one panini was not enough for our Italian ambitions. 😄

The food was fresh, delicious, & exactly what we needed for a quick petit repas while exploring the city. & a special bravo to the incredibly kind staff. They spoke fluent English & were wonderfully helpful, especially since the entire menu is in French. Très pratique pour nous! 🇫🇷😂

Friendly service, great paninis, good Italian vibes, & just enough dolce vita to make you forget that your French vocabulary consists mostly of bonjour, merci, & desperately pointing at the menu.

Highly recommended - 5 étoiles! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We are visiting from Regina SK & I wanted to experience a nice authentic deli lunch in old Montreal. I had the VIANDE FUME panini & my wife had the COPPA panini. Both were fantastic! We highly recommend to stop by for a tasty lunch at a very reasonable price. The service was very friendly too…❤?

i'd give a solid 2.5. Coffee was okay, chicken & brie panini kinda tasteless, like if you blindfold me i'd know i'm eating something but won't be able to tell what

This was our daily breakfast place during our stay in Montreal. The paninis are ready for the grill, so it only takes a few minutes to get a breakfast that you can eat on the go if necessary. But if you have time to sit down, the area set up in the back is really cozy & cute, with lots of photos from Italy all over the walls. Food is amazing, we especially liked the breakfast panini which has the frittata in it. I also ordered the frittata alone with veggies & that was fantastic as well. The staff was great, one person even helped us figure out where to buy a bus pass. Thanm you!

On a trouvé cet endroit par hasard, parce que le café où on devait se rencontrer mon amie & moi n'avait pas assez de place pour s'asseoir.

J'ai pris le panini à la dinde, le géant biscuit aux pépites de chocolat, un petit dessert au citron (j'ai oublié le nom!) & un latté.

Tout était absolument délicieux! Le décor était charmant & le staff super gentil ☺?

Je vais probablement y retourner, comme c'est proche du musée Pointe-à-Callière & que j'y vais régulièrement!

Food - 4/5 - I got the smoked meat sandwich/panini as I vowed to get a'Montreal' smoked meat sandwich on my visit. It was good. Smoked meat isnt my go to however as some of the other items sounded/looked delicious. Quote a few varieties of sandwiches to pick from. Not sure if you can customize your sandwich as they were premade.
Service - 3/5 - Service is minimal at Bello as you order at the counter & they provide you a tray for your food. Sandwich was quickly ready as it was premade & just needed to be panini pressed. I was a bit disappointed by the soda selection as multiple kinds were unavailable.
Atmosphere - I enjoyed their decor & music. Was very warm & welcoming.
Overall - I enjoyed my experience at Bello. I suggest trying them out of you are visiting Old Montreal / Old Port & want a quick sandwich.

Nice Italian deli near Old City/waterfront/museum. Nonna is in the back & will direct you to seating & tell you that you don't have to bus your dishes. 😉 Enjoyed my muffeleta panini.

fantastic experience at this bistro! The paninis were absolutely delicious, flavorful, & made with fresh ingredients. The customer service was amazing too..the staff were friendly, attentive, & made me feel genuinely welcome.

Stumbled upon this place one waiting for an appointment in Old Montreal & needed some breakfast. Found out it was too late for breakfast, but they had a frittata sandwich on the menu so I ordered that. Did not realize it was going to be a panini, & it was the best surprise ever.
Looking forward to going back as soon as possible.
