BÁYRŪT is a modern Lebanese kitchen rooted in family, memory, and tradition. Inspired by the recipes of our mother Nunu and the food of our childhood, we serve dishes that honour the classics — creamy hummus made fresh daily, vibrant tabbouleh, and the rich earthiness of lentils and freekeh. Every plate tells a story, of the mountains of Lebanon, of meals passed hand to hand, and of the joy of feeding others with care. Whether you're here for a quick lunch or a slow, soulful dinner, we invite you to taste a legacy passed down through generations and reimagined for today.

Je recommande vivement 😍View more

Amazing food & atmosphere. So, so happy that we wandered into this restaurant. We are from out of town & really wishing we lived closer so we could visit on a regular basis. The grape leaves are out of this world. Everything was delicious.View more

A must try in Griffintown area.
Mainly a Lebanese restaurant with a special touch different from the classic ones
They offer you to try olives, kichek akhdar & their special & secret recipe butter.
Awesome with hot bread
Salads:
Tabbouleh Spinach where spinach is mainly replacing the biggest portion of parsley delicious
The Bayrut salad with dried tomatoes & goat cheese is zesty & refreshing

The appetizers:
Hummus Bayrut : awesome creamy hummus with cashew & truffles
Lsanat: langues de boeuf wow smooth & tender
Ras asfour: filet mignon style beef with debes elremmen( sirop de grenadine)
The grilled octopus is soft & tender & melts. We had to order another one
Batata harra is a classic
Sambousek meat & cheese & kibbeh are also good for kids
Tried their brioche chicken with sumac
As main we recommend the Jarret Dagneau & Wine leaves
Jarret Dagneau is tender with tahini sauce & Bourgoul
Dessert the ice cream with Cotton candy & a base layer of knefeh/osmalyeh is a must
Highly recommendedView more

Excellent food, excellent service. Coming from Syrian/Lebanese descent I'm very picky when it comes to this cuisine but this restaurant has done it very well. It's home-cooked style with an elegant twist. The kibbé, cheese sambousek, beef tongue, fattoush were all good & the hummus had truffle oil which made it interesting again, loved it! The rice pudding for dessert was perfectly portioned & just sweet enough. What stood out about the food was that you can taste the heart, love, & pride that goes into making the food for their customers. We came for lunch & we'll be going back again for the dinner menu.View more

Amazing!! Stumbled upon it on a quick trip to Montreal. The restaurant has just opened & is destined to be one of the most popular in town. Great food, flavors & ambience. Make sure to leave room for the dessert - it's one of a kind.View more

If you're craving truly authentic Lebanese cuisine-the kind that tastes like it was made by someone's loving teta (grandma)-this is the spot.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted like family. The warm, inviting atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a romantic date night or a lively dinner with friends.

Every dish is homemade & overflowing with love. The hummus is impossibly creamy, the tabbouleh is vibrant & fresh, & the kibbeh, my favorite! Don't miss the grape leaves, which are rolled with care & packed with flavor, or the sambousek lahme which is stuffed with seasoned ground beef.

What makes this place truly special is the soul in every bite. You can taste generations of tradition in the food. It's not flashy or overdone-just deeply comforting, heartwarming Lebanese food made with care.

Whether you're sipping rose water tea after your meal or sharing their delicious rice pouding & laughing with friends, you'll leave full, happy, & already planning your next visit.

A must-visit. A love letter to Lebanese home cooking 💛View more
