Ah! La Barraca! A big bar in a small, narrow tavern leading to a beautiful, peaceful terrace. A dynamic staff serving their amazing customers who are thirsty for good times and enjoy savoury tapas, rum, Spanish wines along with local & imported beers.
Barraca Rhumerie Montréal is a rhum-focused bar that draws guests with a wide and well-curated selection of rums, strong and well-made cocktails, and a lovely terrace. Reviews praise friendly, knowledgeable staff and a lively, sociable vibe with frequent events and a welcoming atmosphere for groups and dates alike. Some criticisms mention noise levels, slow service during busy times, and moments of inattentiveness or impatience from staff, including reports of being asked to pay upfront, plus a dessert listed on the menu that was not available and high prices for small portions. Others celebrate the consistent quality of drinks, the attention to detail in cocktails, and good value during happy hour, with tacos and ceviche on the menu noted as tasty though food options can be limited. Taken together, the place comes across as a go-to spot for rum lovers and casual nights out, with a generally positive vibe that can vary with crowds and events.
Personnel aimable, nourriture & boisons de bonne saveur. Toutefois, lorsque tu réserve tu n'as pas accès à leur belle terrasse intérieur. La terrasse extérieur offre des tables défectueuses & inconfortables.
Nice hang out. They have a cool terrace out back, very private.
The only thing I'd recommend to the owners is maybe a slightly more elaborate food offering, though what I had was quite good.
I love the food, the service, & the drinks. It gets very loud, & it's difficult to have a conversation because of that, though. Other than that, it's a very good place to go for drinks!
